"Property is far bigger than we expected and there was plenty of space for a family of 5 and a dog. Very comfortable and had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Situated in a lovely setting with good pubs in walking distance. Great walks too. Would love to come back and spend longer here."

"Nice enough place to stay, location is great and a good base for exploring the Scottish Borders.However, the property is missing quite a few of the kitchen basics; there wasn't enough crockery for our family of 5.Great hob and oven and all appliances work well, however, whole place shakes when washing machine is on, so timing is key!Electric shower was really not great, but the corner bath is lovely.Most importantly; there aren't 1.5 bathrooms... there is one. One toilet, one bath, one shower......

"We stayed at Crackin View for a long weekend just before Christmas for our annual family Christmas holiday. Ages ranging from 5 - 65 with quite a few teenagers. The house was perfect for what we needed. Plently of room and commual areas for our large family, the living room was a great layout for playing family games. "Me and my 5 friends had a lovely time away. There were stunning views and the house was large and comfortable. Fun board games and a lovely hot tub. We all agreed that the main thing that let it down for us was cleanliness. We had to hoover and clean when we got there - there was a lot of dog hair (we didn't bring a dog). One of the bathrooms was particularly dirty - black mold and black grime in the shower, plug full of hair so wouldn't drain properly. The grass in the garden hadn't been...
