Situated in the heart of Cessnock, Florence Cottage is a charming four-bedroom Federation period home that offers guests home-style comforts and convenient access to the surrounding region. Embodying the charm of yesteryear, Florence Cottage is ideally suited to romantic getaways, family holidays, business trips and bridal parties. Hunter Valley wineries, gardens and concert venues are only a short drive away, while local amenities are within walking distance, including supermarkets, food outlets and a family friendly public swimming pool.

However you choose to spend your time, Florence Cottage will be your home away from home. Cook up a spot of breakfast in the cozy kitchen, stocked with cutlery, crockery and appliances. Curl up in the living room to read a book, dappled with colourful light from the stained glass windows. Let the kids run free in the large backyard or take a short walk to the nearby swimming pool. There is ample space in the dining room to share dinner with family or friends at the end of a fun day out, or a quiet day in. Take your choice of a relaxing bath or shower with towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied.

We spent a long weekend in the Hunter. Florence cottage is perfectly situated and so pretty. I loved drinking coffee on the front verandah watching the sun rise. And the bath is pure luxury. Highly recommended as a vacation stay.

What a quaint, inviting and absolutely homely cottage. Located near all local amenities and a stone's throw from local wineries. Communication with Jodie was superb and she was accommodating to all of our requests. Could not recommended this property more.

Convenient, Family Friendly Cottage
The cottage is in close proximity to everything you could need/want in a trip to Hunter Valley and was the perfect size for a group of 7 (2 adults, 3 kids). The yard was big enough for the kids to run around in and we really appreciated the childrens cutlery and stool in the bathroom. The house was clean, instructions from the host were clear and we all had the best time!

Wonderful overnight stay
We stayed at Florence Cottage for one night during our road trip to the snow. The cottage is delightful. It’s location is ideal with easy access to shops, multiple dining options and the beautiful wineries. The cottage is so pretty. It reminded us of being back in the English countryside. The decor is Perfect, beds are comfy, it has all the equipment you need to cook and be self sufficient and the shower and roll top bath are lovely. We also loved the little garden with its lavender flowers! We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

We stayed here for one night at the weekend with my baby girl, husband and 2 couple friends. The house was amply spaced for the 7 of us, it had everything we needed including oil, coffee, a lovely selection of tea. It’s the perfect comfortable base to the hunter region. I cannot recommend this place enough. To top it off, communication with Jodie the host was quick, easy and hassle free- overall a great experience and we’ll cherish forever.

Loved the house. Everything was as described and I would definitely stay again. My only suggestion would be it would be really nice to have a few essentials such as long life milk, cooking oil etc. thank you :-) would highly recommend this place.

My family loved our stay at Florence Cottage! Even with the house being renovated it still had a beautiful old style cottage feel. It felt nice a spacious, clean and is well accommodating to a family. Unlike other places, the bedding was comfortable with a great option of pillow firmness and plenty of blankets too. We like the multiple air-conditioners as the temperature was quite warm. The location was perfect for what we were wanting. Would definitely stay again and highly recommended it to anyone looking for a cottage style house stay.
