"This house was perfect. We've been renting holiday houses for about 10 years and this is possibly the best. Our family of four (kids aged 10 and 12) loved the size of the house, the cleanliness, the fruit trees in the garden and the amazing views but best of all we loved the fact that it has everything: a wide range of books, loads of DVDs, games, every last kitchen utensil and a bundle of hammocks. The house sits in its own land complete with olive groves and a quiet bench where you can sit...

Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

"Lovely rural 2 story cottage...Hazel had to "fetch" us because the beautiful place is hard to find. Do not attempt to arrive after dark. We used as a base to explore northern Portugal. A lime tree grows outside your kitchen window! We didn't use the pool but sat there for the fantastic sunsets. Beautiful experience."

"The property was wonderful. It felt traditional, yet modern. Mark and Lerryn were fantastic hosts. They were always on hand should we need any help or support. The pool and patio area were sublime. We spent many a day relaxing and cooking in these areas. The only negative that we experienced was how uncomfortable we found the beds. Im a side sleeper, so find very hard beds no good for my hips or shoulders. My partner also found the beds to be too hard. We had to sleep downstairs on the sofabed, which was not ideal. Mark and Lerryn did offer us a spare mattress, but we didnt want to cause anymore fuss Overall, we had a lovely time at Casa Lerryn. We would highly recommend it. "
