"We stayed in the Sand Dune unit. Lovely unit on beach front. Not at all noisy though you can slightly hear the neighbouring unit. Great to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by and enjoy the sound of the surf. Only stayed one night but would have loved to be able to stay longer. Ate dinner and breakfast at the Esplanade restaurant - very authentic Italian food, would highly recommend."

John was kind and welcoming and in the morning had a nice simple spread for breakfast and then we got to feed the alpacas and sheep which was unique! Definitely recommend a stay here as the property was beautiful just watch your drive in! "

"This was a last minute booking for us as we had to change a date. We've been in NZ for thirty days and this is the only large hotel we've stayed in. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, shower great, bed comfy but what was great was the fact that there was a washing machine and tumble drier in the ensuite!! We had breakfast included too which was a nice treat but the coffee choice was poor. Oh and I loved the thick towels in the room. Great location too."
