"Needed a hotel where I could leave a trailer. Extremely helpful when I phoned and equally helpful in sorting out afternoon tea even though their kitchen was shut. Passing through Chard from holiday in Sidmouth. When asked directions in Fore Street the lady we asked (Marian) told us her husband's parents had lived there & there was an egg packing station at the rear of the property.

Chard has many shops, pubs & take- aways. Really handy for visiting surrounding areas such as llminster another pretty village with shops , places to eat & drink etc.

The local museum is worth a visit on the main street. Staff are very knowledgeable. Lots of amenities nearby. bars, restaurants, cafes, shops etc...
