The Home Collection provides all the comforts of home with unmatched design and hospitality. We own over 40 different residences all within two miles of downtown Charlotte!

Founded by a third generation Charlottean, our mission is to give you an authentic Charlotte experience and offer a range of accommodations in safe and historic neighborhoods while providing the most-deluxe furnished residences in Charlotte. Welcome home!

Check out all of our residences at our Host Profile. We offer discounts for long-term stays, so please ask. Well-behaved, quiet pets are allowed in most of our properties with a pet fee.

Our beautifully appointed condo in the charming Hawthorne building is in the desirable and walkable Elizabeth neighborhood. Kick back, relax, and enjoy our complimentary snacks and beverages.

This second-floor residence is full of artwork by local artist Nico Amortegui, well-known for large-scale paintings and installations throughout NC and the Smithsonian.

Upholstered furniture in the spacious living room provides comfortable seating for you to enjoy the flatscreen television with both streaming and Hulu Live. There is a pull-out sofa bed just in case you need an extra bed.

Ultra-fast Wi-Fi and a large desk allows business travelers to stay plugged into their busy schedules.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc. and the adjacent dining room comfortably seats four and includes all the place settings.

The main bedroom has a king-sized bed with a flatscreen television, and comfy chair. The bathroom is equipped with Nest bath products for your convenience.

Our residence is in historic Elizabeth, one of the nicest, most pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods in the city where generations of prominent Charlotteans have made their home. Immerse yourself in tree-lined streets, beautiful parks, and vibrant local scene await.

Hawthorne Avenue is the heart of Charlotte’s health care district. Plaza Midwood and Uptown are a short ride away on the streetcar.

This incredibly safe community provides an ideal place for walking or jogging, and you are just a half mile walking distance from more than 40 locally owned restaurants (Italian, Mexican, Cajun, and Mediterranean). For breakfast, try Central Coffee or Villani’s Bakery. Our favorite full-service spots include Customshop (local cuisine), Cajun Queen (Louisiana soul food) and Intermezzo (Italian).

If you are looking for local gems, check out The People Market, Menya Durama (Ramen), and Moo & Brew (burgers). My favorite BBQ joint is Midwood Smokehouse (but this is a touchy subject in the crossroads of BBQ).
Have a beer at Legion Brewery, a drink at the infamous Thirsty Beaver (Mick Jagger’s favorite spot), or a cocktail at the Crunkleton. Many of our neighborhood restaurants have patios that welcome dogs.

If shopping is on the schedule, you will find many locally owned shops on the ‘Plaza Piazza,’ including antiques, fine gifts, wines, and bespoke clothing for men and women. Elizabeth is also a neighborhood with a vibrant nightlife. If you’re looking for an exciting place to stay in Charlotte, you’ve come to the right place.
Uptown Charlotte is only one mile away and a short walk or ride to the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC Stadium, Hornets/Spectrum Arena, Knights Baseball Stadium, Discovery Place, Convention Center, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Mint Museum, Spirit Square, Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture, Discovery Place Science, and NASCAR Hall of Fame.

A workstation is available for rent during your stay for $10 per day. This includes a 32” monitor, wireless keyboard, and mouse.
We have a very strict non-smoking policy and there is a substantial penalty for guests that violate this policy.

Established in 1897, Elizabeth is the second oldest streetcar suburb in Charlotte. Given its close proximity to Upton, Elizabeth became one of the most fashionable residential areas in Charlotte in its early days.

Because much of the neighborhood was developed in the early 20th century, Elizabeth's trees have had time to mature. They now form a canopy over most of Elizabeth's residential streets. In addition, Elizabeth is more pedestrian-friendly than most Charlotte neighborhoods, businesses and residences are in close proximity, and most roads have sidewalks.

One of the many advantages of staying in Elizabeth is its unbeatable location. Situated just minutes away from Uptown Charlotte, you'll have easy access to the city's top attractions, cultural landmarks, and exciting entertainment options. Whether you're catching a game at Bank of America Stadium, immersing yourself in art at the Mint Museum, or exploring the vibrant nightlife of the city center, everything is within reach.

Retreat to your delightful accommodation, where comfort and style blend seamlessly. Unwind in the cozy living space, prepare a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen, or enjoy a glass of wine on the private patio. Designed with your comfort in mind, your stay offers a tranquil oasis to recharge after a day of exploration.

Experience the captivating allure of Elizabeth, where history meets modernity and where the city's energy intertwines with a sense of tranquility. Book your stay now and discover the unforgettable experiences that await you in this charming neighborhood in the heart of Charlotte.

Lovely Spot in Great Walking Location to Restaurants
My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks while trying to find a neighborhood to move to in Charlotte. We liked the area so much, we moved in just down the street. Our favorite part of this place was the lovely 2nd floor balcony/patio and we spent a lot of time there people watching. The home is lovely, in a quiet area, and close to restaurants and bars in Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood. It would have been nice to have more toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels for a 2 week stay. We ran out fairly quickly and had to run to the Harris Teeter nearby.

We loved this apartment. It was close to stores and great places to eat. It feels more like a home and has a wonderful balcony to enjoy. It has a mix of historic charm and up scale living. We will stay here again most definitely.

GREAT PLACE AND SERVICE
This is such a unique apartment. Although only one bedroom and bath it is very spacious and you actually feel like you are in a small home. Love the outside terrace and watching all the walkers and their dogs! A great place to unwind after a day working or whatever. The management team is very responsive and although the internet went down for a short-time (not their fault and outage in the area), they kept us updated until all was good. Loved that the owner left such nice snacks and wine and felt appreciated. Very convenient to wherever you need to head out too and we will surely be back!

This is the third time our family has stayed at one of Jim's properties in Charlotte. We enjoy them so much that we seek them out exclusively for our visits to Charlotte. This apartment is well-maintained, thoughtfully appointed, and in a great location.

ACC Championship Football
Used VRBO for my 2nd time to go to the ACC Championship game. I can say we couldn't have made a better decision where to stay. The apartment was spotless and very well made up. Jim left us a very nice note offering snacks/adult beverages etc that they left for us. Everything we needed to know was spelled out perfectly beforehand and in our letter. The neighborhood was charming and completely safe. We were a very easy 5 or 6 minute drive to downtown. We did Uber Friday night which was easy and inexpensive. My wife and I couldn't recommend this property enough. Our only complaint/disappointment was that we didn't have enough time to check out some of the restaurants in the neighborhood. That was on us and will not happen again the next time we get down to Charlotte. No question in our minds where we will stay.

It really is home away from home
We love staying at this location in Charlotte, the best pizza is down the road and great shopping a walk away at Envy. The place is fabulous, so cute and the porch is most enjoyable. We recommend it to everyone, hotels are not the way to enjoy a city, actually living in the city is the only way.

Wonderful stay
Quirky old building in an excellent location- I'm in the charlotte area often, and for the first time, my residence was walkable to stores and dining. Quiet street close to the action. Charlie was a welcoming and accommodating host; not at all intrusive, yet only a text or phone call away. We loved the snacks and bar too! I will definitely seek out another home collection property for my next stay!

Gem in the Queen City
*Clean apartment and very comfortable king size bed. Had all of the amenities of a hotel room with extra added comforts and treats: - Wine and snacks on the counter & fridge, Apple TV, and Free Wifi. * In walking distance to several restaurants and bars; we tried Customshop, the Elizabeth Creamery, and Cajun Queen. * We were a group of three walking all around the neighborhoods. I felt comfortable walking around during the day alone, but I would be more vigilant at night around the apartment. * Ventured further out by driving to the 7th street Market, Amelie's bakery, and the US National Whitewater Center for a full day of hiking. *** Perfect for a home base while visiting Charlotte.
