"It was impossible to drive to the hotel without special instructions, which we received only after having parked some distance away and walking with our luggage to check in. After I received the special instructions and retrieved my car from the public parking lot it took a long time to get to the hotel since road construction and detours blocked the route recommended by Google maps, which I was using to navigate. "This was a delightful little country hotel with gorgeous rooms and a good restaurant immediately below. The suite of rooms (4 were included in my booking) were beautifully furnished and great value for money. The beds were comfortable and the setting was peaceful. Would thoroughly recommend!"

"Modern hotel, 5-10 minutes walk from train station, and about the same from the cathedral. Decent sized bathroom (with separate toilet chamber), comfy bed, nice sitting chair and small work desk. Good breakfast selection, especially on the cold side."

"The duty manager was friendly and helpful. The whole building was clean and tidy. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed. Lovely toiletries supplied. The small kitchen with a fridge was perfect it meant we could store a few perishables on the way down to the south of France on our trip and could refill our flask as well as somewhere to eat as we were too tired to go out after our travelling. Even had the BBC news and weather on the TV. We would definitely recommend and use their chain again."

Perfect spot in Chartres

"Our stay at Maleyssie was absolutely delightful. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. Our suite was incredible spacious and comfortable. Homemade madeleines and water were waiting for us. We opted to eat dinner in the beautiful courtyard and it was delicious. The staff was wonderful and our stay was lovely. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night."

Hotel & Spa Le Grand Monarque, Best Western Premier Collection

"The room was small and perhaps the farthest one from the lift. It was a knockout though with beautiful furnishings. Super comfortable bed. Two sinks! Robe and slippers provided. Needed a flat space. On property restaurant was fabulous. Great service all around. Valet parking just around the corner was secure and safe and inexpensive. We would LOVE to. One back an be wowed again,"
