"The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. The local town had a daily market selling amazing produce, the local bakery was also amazing along with an ice cream parlour which made fabulous waffles. Great hotel

"Lovely hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. We had a room in the annexe which was good because at the time there were extensive renovations taking place to the exterior of the main building which was shrouded in green fabric. Internally it was renovated I believe last year to a very high standard and was modern whilst retaining many original features. Parking available on site is a must, at an extra cost, but is well worth the charge. Breakfast was plentiful and very busy but we always managed to get a good table. The staff were all extremely efficient and although their English was better than our French, they let us persevere in French, at our request. Lots of good restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Really can’t fault this hotel. We would definitely book again on future visits. "

Adequate hotel for 1 night

"Hotel is clean and bed is comfortble, if decor is slightly shabby. It is fine for an overnight stay when on a journey. Handy for Les Sables d'Olonne which is a nice port with good restaurants. We arrived late so the restaurant was closed but the hotel has a late check in which is useful."
