"The new owners are congenial and helpful, as is the cleaning staff. Very comfortable with one exception: our bathroom had barely any room in front of the toilet. However, everything else was lovely. We had their full breakfast one day, and continental the others. So nice not to have to hunt down breakfast. Center of town easy walking distance. We had a very pleasant stay."

"We stayed in the new Cary Grant suite, which was beautiful! A kitchenette and large living space with a large bedroom and bathroom, an amazing view, and a lovely private patio looking out over a koi pond. It was perfect. The location is great but it does require ascending two steep inclines to get to the room. Service, however, was lacking and communication was poor. Breakfast was not at all worth the modest 11E charge. We had breakfast twice in our 5 day stay and both times there was just dry bread to be toasted, dry and uneatable little pastries, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt (which was very good). No housekeeping, trash collection, or fresh towels during the entire stay. We saw 3 staff members during the stay but no one introduced themselves so I'm still not sure who we could have asked for anything. One woman, who may have been a cleaner, sat outside and chain smoked quite a bit. Other than her, the other two gentlemen we saw were polite but just not forthcoming with information. We parked in the recommended garage, but please know that it is several blocks away from the hotel. Overall, the space itself was incredible though and Sarlat is a fabulous place to visit and in a perfect location along the Dordogne Valley for seeing this beautiful corner of France."

"This was our second visit to the property in Sarlat and it was just as good the second time as it was the first.The house is situated about 10 mins walk from Sarlat town centre and 2 mins from Carrefour so is perfectly situated for everything you can want.The house is fitted with top spec appliances. All bedrooms are en-suite and immaculate, equipped with air con and electric shutters - nothing has been overlooked.The pool and hot tub along with the decked area provide a great place to recoup after a day sightseeing and despite being close to amenities birdsong is prevalent.Jean-Marc and his wife are great hosts - available to answer anything you may need but not intrusive at all.We WILL be returning."

"Just brilliant. The rooms are in an excellent refurbishment of an ancient house in the centre of the medieval city. Communication was excellent - we loved the films describing where to find the parking and the entrance. The parking is free and close so please dont let that put you off staying here."

Quiet location

"We were greeted very warmly by Philippe and his wife, and they offered us coffee when we arrived. We were then shown around the accommodation and given details of the surrounding area and attractions. The accommodation was well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was perfect for our break and in a very quiet area, but easy to find. Nothing was too much trouble for Philippe during our stay which we enjoyed immensely. We hope to return next year, and would definitely stay here again. "
