"Nice peaceful week"

"I had not properly read that there would be no towels. We have not experienced this before. We had arrived by air so carrying those is not practical. Thankfully we were close to friends who helped us or we could not have had a shower after our long journey as there were no shops near. I wish they would be provided for other travellers like ourselves. We were told it was because of Covid but bed linen was provided and we could not understand the difference! Everything else was perfect."

"We enjoyed our stay here -- it's a nice house with a great view, and we appreciated being able to use it as a base for exploring this part of the country. We had no concerns at all -- everything about the property was exactly as described. The remoteness is part of the appeal -- though it does mean that it's not easy to pop out to a shop for something you might have missed/forgotten. With good planning, it's a really appealing place."

"Unser Aufenthalt in der Mühle bei Pontgibaud hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und trotz unserer geringen Französischkenntnisse konnten wir uns gut verständigen. Wir hatten, obwohl wir eine regenreiche Woche hatten, eine schöne und entspannte Zeit, die wir mit Ausflügen in die abwechslungsreiche Umgebung oder beim Lesen vor dem Kamin verbracht haben."

"What a wonderful place. The apartment was clean and airy with a balcony to enjoy having a meal,glass of wine or coffee. Everything you need in the kitchenette apart from a frying pan and or a saucepan(just a huge cooking pot). Only down side is there isn't any Aircon in the room so it's very hard to sleep in the night- the mobile fan just moves the warm air around. Spa is wonderful!!! Our favourite place across our trip in Spain and France. Would visit again. "

"This chalet has a lovely view of the lake and the wooded hills. A lovely view at breakfast and during the evening meal. The chalet was very well appointed with all necessary utensils. While I loved the lake, trips to Puy de Dome and Massif de Sancy were also within an hour's drive. All in all a lovely introduction to the Auvergne."

"A clean and cosy Gite with a helpful owner who was available to answer questions and help during our stay. The upstairs has a lovely bright double bedroom, twin room and sitting area. The bathroom is bright and modern. Downstairs are two further rooms, a shower room and WC. The kitchen is well equipped. Outside there are plenty of areas to sit, with shade when needed. Pascal is a generous and helpful host. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit the area again one day. Merci Beaucoup Pascal...
