"This modern hotel with lovely rooms was great for our 2 night stay. Breakfast each morning was really nice and we ate in the restaurant both evenings which was also lovely. Our first night we were disappointed that the fillet steak on the menu wasn't available and mentioned this to the restaurant manager, who said he'd take care of it and true to his word, the next evening it was available. It was delicious, cooked to perfection. The pool for a hotel this size we felt was maybe a little too...

"This is my second stay at New Haven Guest House, it had been 5 years in-between stays but I am happy to report that my experience the second time was just as good if not better than 5 years ago. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the quietness is pleasant. The English breakfast in the morning was top notch. I highly recommend staying here while in Newcastle."

"Hotels.com had a price of R450. Booked at this rate. Owner met me on premises and insisted that i pay more as Hotels.com has old rates. I was too tired to argue so i paid R300 more. There were no towels in the room, no tea/coffee but an uncleaned kettle was available(dead ants inside it). The TV did not work. Definitely not recommended "

"A fantastic place to stay with lovely cottages, a pool, bar, restaurant and delightful gardens with lots of birds. Andre and his family and staff provide us with really helpful and friendly service definitely going the extra mile for us. Dinner is a set menu but you can ask for an alternative. The chicken pie may be the best chicken pie I have ever eaten."
