Better than pictures
Great location, close proximity to Cherokee and Bryson City. Beautiful wide river out the back deck with a short trail to reach it. Even saw two huge elk across the street both nights! Clint was very friendly and accomodating. Charcoal grill in good shape, fire pit in good shape, porch and porch chairs were great. Didn't spend too much time inside with how beautiful it was outside!

This is our 3rd time staying at the Appaloosa cabins and we always enjoy our stay. The host is very professional and always quick to answer. The cabin is just what we needed, a place to unwind and relax. The views are beautiful.

Wonderful stay!
Beautiful, peaceful location but still convenient to downtown Cherokee. I wish we could have brought the sound of the river home with us. The cabin was cozy and the view and vibe was perfect. We saw bald eagles, wild turkey, and a giant elk!

Amazing little getaway and convenient loctions
Cabin was so clean and so close to the casino and shopping centers. We will definitely be booking again when we come back to visit. Also saw some turkeys around the cabin and loved being so close to the river. You won’t be disappointed if you book this cabin.

1st of all the stay was splendid. When needed to speak with the owner, it was hassle free. Response was immediate and there were no issues to deal with. Wish we could bring large family to share the fun.

Perfect Location
The cabin itself is just as pictured here. Nothing fancy but quite sufficient! Convenient location, close enough for a quick jaunt over to Cade’s Cove, Clingman’s Dome, the casino, the island park, etc. The river is nice to listen to from the deck, and we often saw fishermen enjoying the day. There’s a path down to the water that’s not too bad if you want to fish or just wade in the water. It was supplied with most anything you’d need for a short stay. Coffee pot, pots and pans, dishes, air fryer, microwave, etc. There were plenty of DVD movies to watch, some board and card games, etc. The tv is a smart tv so you’re able to log in to whatever streaming service you have and watch whatever you want. Oh, there is a PERFECT picnic table area off the deck!!! I only have two small “negatives” to note, and they by far are outweighed by the positives. If you get hot easily while sleeping, be aware that there is only one AC unit (in the living area) and it did not sufficiently cool the bedrooms, even with leaving one of them closed the entire time (since it was not being used). There is a fan in each room, it just wasn’t enough. But to be fair - I get hot pretty easily at night. Just something for others to consider. I do wish there had been a place to hang some clothing. There were plenty of drawers, but I would rather hang some of my clothes. Personal preference, but worth noting for future guests. Definitely would book again.

Sisters Birthday Getaway
The drive up from Raleigh during the week was beautiful. We stopped at the Zoo and then made our way up to the cabin. We enjoyed the relaxing environment. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed all the TV stations and programs. We watched movies and played games the provided. Next we will stay longer.

Lovely peaceful place
Provided many accessories in kitchen and bath. Plenty of tv stations. Not far from anything yet quiet with beautiful river and porch to watch and listen. Great fire pit. We camp with rv but love this cabin so much we stay in Appaloosa #2.Clint, the owner, is a lovely person. We'll be back!👏👏🇺🇲🐕😊

Location! Location!
Nothing as serene as sitting in rockers on the back deck listening to the river flowing by. Close to all Cheyenne historical spots. Close to Harrah’s Casino. Close to hiking! Clean, rustic and comfy beds. Recommend highly

Wonderful quiet and peaceful cabin
This cabin was just what my mom and I were looking for to unwind. We were planning to do more things in Cherokee but we enjoyed the cabin so much we opted to stay and enjoy the scenery. The river was cool and refreshing to swim in and was very soothing to listen to from the cabin balcony.

Great location. Awesome porch overlooking a river.
This cabin was near what we wanted to do: visit Cherokee and hike in the mountains. It was also a great place to return to at the end of the day. The porch overlooking the river was spectacular. The cabin had a "woodsy" feel to it and was very quiet. The beds were comfortable. Clint was communicative as needed. We especially appreciate that he contacted us promptly when he discovered that we left a pair of glasses behind. He offered to send them to us and refused payment, event for postage.

Fantastic view and sounds of the river!
Loved the place. The river views/sounds and the back deck are fantastic. Host was very communicative and assisted for our questions. Beds/pillows were not that comfortable. Would share for host to add some pillow tops to the mattress to improve that aspect. Also, place is a little farther than 2 mins from Harrah’s. All-in-all, it was a great time in the mountains.

Sisters trip
Had an absolutely wonderful time!!! Clint was so accommodating! We added the second cabin last minute because there ended up being 5 of us women and we wanted to be comfortable. Both cabins were clean and very comfortable! We all slept great, very peaceful. We had a nice walk and we were so close to the casino but in amongst any traffic. Great location!! Great cabins!! We will definitely be back!!!
