Smoky Mountain Depot ~ Great Secluded Cabin in a Gated Community

This is a great secluded cabin in a gated community. The peacefulness of this mountain will bring serenity to even the busiest of those among us.

Stop in, enjoy a cup of Joe on the spacious porch in the morning and the coziness of a warm fire at night.

Our cabin is located within 25 minutes from the Nantahala Outdoor Center, the Appalachian Trail, Tsali Recreation Area and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We are also located less than 30 miles from Hwy 129, The Tail of the Dragon, motorcycle run.

Check out Bryson City's Numerous attractions:
Whitewater kayaking and rafting. World class mountain biking, Fly Fishing, The Appalachian Trail, Great Smoky Mountain Railway.
Truly, there is something for everyone!

The Cabin includes a master bedroom with king size bed downstairs, and a loft with 2 queen size beds. All the comforts of home and then some. There is a completely remodeled kitchen with all Stainless appliances, gas stove, dishwasher, and even a heated tiled floor to keep those barefoot toes warm in the morning. It is all topped off with Oronoko Granite from Brazil.

Newly updated bathroom with new washer and dryer, all tile with heated floors and 2 person MTI Jacuzzi!

In the living area you will enjoy the beauty and warmth of a wood burning stove, large screen TV, DVD player and 100s of movies to choose from. Brazilian Teak graces the floors for a beautiful warm feeling. Sit and Enjoy the "G" Scale train as it runs around the cabin and even through the walls.

A note about pricing: VRBO keeps saying I should raise my rates, especially during peak seasons, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, e.t.c.
It has always irritated me that hotels e.t.c. do that. So if I want to enjoy my family during the holidays, I have to pay a premium???

I'm sorry, I think that's just wrong, so why would I do that to my guest? Prices are the same EVERY DAY of the year. If you want a holiday, summer dates, e.t.c. just book early before someone else does, and enjoy your family at the regular prices.

Beautiful Mountain view
Well stocked Kitchen. Place was clean. Plenty of firewood available. Felt the springs in the bed while sleeping. Amazing view of the mountains. Our kids love the model train. Lots of games to play too.

Hidden gem!
This place was absolutely amazing! The pictures in no way do justice to the view from the front porch and master bedroom, and waking to silence but for the sound of birds and the small creek running beside the property, was priceless! We spent the bulk of our trip in our PJ's lounging on porch enjoying the view. The switch from fighting the commute into Charlotte every day to a fun, twisty, zero-traffic drive along the beautifully engineered NC mountain roads was the breath of (literal) fresh air that we desperately needed. We found the cabin to be immaculately clean and quite comfy/cozy. The heated tile floors in the kitchen and bath were a pleasant bonus! I read the other reviews and was nervous about the drive up due to one bad comment, but we scheduled our trip to arrive before nightfall and followed the owners directions with no issues. Good idea to arrive during the day on your first trip up so you can see where you're going, but once you know the lay of the land, it's really no problem. We would absolutely recommend staying here, and hope to return in the future!

Luxury in the wilderness
The cabin had all of the amenities! Everything was updated and very clean. Beautiful view for coffee on the deck. They aren’t lying when they say remote. The host provides great directions.

Spring break trip
The cabin was just as described, very cute inside, clean and comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom especially were very modern. But by far the view was the best part. Pictures don’t do it justice, it was amazing and worth the drive up from Florida. We’d stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks!

NiSuper Nice, but you have to deive steep mountain roads to get there
This is a very nice, clean place. We really enjoyed staying there, but the road to get there is scary. It has very steep climbs with very high drops and its one lane once you get to the gate. It is paved, but everytime we had to go or come from there, I was scared the whole way up or down the mountain. There is also no cell sevice for about 5 miles around until you get to the cabin

Breathtaking
This home was just that, a true home in every sense of the word. It was warm and loving and quaint. We enjoyed the fire and the train around the rooms. This trip was just what my family needed and the home was perfect in every way. The owner was exceptionally responsive and welcoming. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Get away
We had a great time. The cabin is so nice with so many high end extras. We loved the heated tile floors and the jetted tub. The view was beautiful! We enjoyed going on the Smokey Mountain railroad! It is quite a drive up to it but we loved the privacy and it was well worth it!
