"We stayed in main house - facilities were first class - everything you needed was there. When we needed something Sara provided it quickly. All the rooms were very comfortable- even though it was 33-37 degrees everyday - the house cooled down that sleeping was not a problem. The pool was sensational- but I suppose it is pot luck who is renting the other 2 houses. We had great fellow renters so the pool was a great place to cool off. "Le Macine is a really lovely place to stay. The villa is large, with 3 evenly sized bedrooms, 2 fully equipped bathrooms and plenty of social entertaining space. The air conditioning was very effective and welcome and Wi-Fi good. Outdoors, there is a substantial garden and the pool itself is large for a villa - have been to hotels with smaller pools! "The house is located in a small spot with 3 other houses and 2 being built. Some have mentioned the road in, but if you’ve been to Italy it’s not a big deal, typical gravel road, easy to navigate. The property has great views and is in a good place to explore northern Tuscany. It is a small house, perfect for 2 ppl. But I wouldn’t recommend for a family (there’s only one bedroom). "Das Haus liegt sehr schön und ideal unter Pinien in Marina di Castagneto Carducci. Die Einrichtung ist einfach, aber zweckmässig. Schade ist, dass man Bett- und Frotteewäsche selbst mitbringen muss. Das führt zu zusätzlichem Reisegepäck. Nicht ganz zufrieden waren wir mit der Sauberkeit, insbesondere der Küche. Der Gesamteindruck ist gut und wir werden das Haus wieder mieten."

"Overall we loved the cottage and the area. The views were amazing. Easy access to Florence, Pisa, etc. We enjoyed the solitude, the pool to ourselves, and sitting on our private terrace for coffee or afternoon drinks. The shrubbery around the terrace could be trimmed down to provide a better view. It was very warm during our stay, and with no A/C the cottage was quite warm. The fans helped, but noisy. We did not see the caretakers much after check-in, but knew they were there if we needed...
