The Mary Reads Pirates Serenity is a peaceful and bright 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment fitted with 1 queen bed, 1 queen pullout couch, AC and filtered water at every faucet. This spacious unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge, electric stove/oven, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, cookware, dish ware and more. We provide great internet and Smart TVs with complimentary access to Disney+ and Netflix. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower and is stocked with toilet paper, bath towels, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash.
Guests will have access to the unit, as well as our shared courtyard with grill/dining area and our shared laundry room. Guests may use the washer/dryers (except between the hours of 10am and 3pm) on a first-come, first-serve basis. This privately gated property is a short walk from the boardwalk, bars and restaurants. Christiansted taxi stand is just a 3-minute walk or rent a car to explore other parts of beautiful St Croix! Street parking easily available.
Our host is not available onsite. The laundry room is stocked with many extra amenities. Please let us know if you need anything additional, and we will help you access it.
Directly across from The Fort National Park with a backdrop of stunning blue water, nowhere else in the Caribbean features the architectural, economic, and political influence of Europe like the Christiansted National Historic Site. Wander through 18th century Danish architecture in the heart of downtown Christiansted, as we’re just 0.2 miles from the Christiansted Boardwalk - a 3-minute walk to the shops, bars, restaurants and more. Some of our favorite restaurants are just around the corner, including Too Chez, Savant and Hamilton’s.
The property sits on a corner, leaving plenty of free street parking for our guests that choose to rent a car. For those guest that do not have their own form of transportation, it's just a 3-minute walk down to the taxi stand, at the corner of King St and Church St. OR we always recommend riding with Rolly's Transportation Services OR VI Ubah!
Guests are provided with ample towels and bedding for their stay. To keep cleaning costs low, we encourage guests to wash the items provided if they would like fresh ones throughout their reservation.
There is currently some construction around the property on Queen Street, making the roads somewhat bumpy, and causing confusion with parking.
Please also note that stairs are required to get in and out of the unit - those with difficulty climbing stairs could find this challenging.
We conduct monthly pest control treatments to help ensure pests aren't present in our units. These treatments are tentatively scheduled for the first Friday of each month between 4 and 5pm. A representative of ours accompanies the technician, so guests do not have to be present during a scheduled treatment. We send a reminder ahead of each treatment to guests booked.
