"What a crazy funny hotel! We wanted a little break from Berlin, something close and unique. The grounds were interesting to wander, and the pool was spacious and peaceful. The rooms were a bit small and room service was limited to only 4 items plus LOTS of alcohol. The service was very attentive and we enjoyed our stay!"

"The location of the property is quite remote but we knew this when we booked. Perfect tranquility! It is on the edge of a small village which is near to a small town with a direct rail link into. The property is beautifully kept to high standards in the most beautiful wooded location. "Tolles Hotel mit schönen großen Zimmern in sehr ruhiger Lage. Hier kann man wirklich mal entspannen. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön mit einer preislich gehobenen Küche wobei man aber auch bedenken muss, ob man bereit ist, für winzige Portionen diese Preise zu bezahlen. Mir kam es zu übertrieben vor auch wenn die Qualität gestimmt hat. Als Gastgeber würde ich mir die Besucher die eben genau aus diesen Gründen nicht im Hause Essen, nicht entgehen lassen wollen. "

"We stayed 3 nights. The first 2 night were great. The hotel is good for the price. Very close to the train station and restaurants. However, our room was above a club and our last night was a Saturday which caused us to stay up till 4 due to the noise. Overall I would say it’s a great place to stay on weekdays."
