We used it as a base to travel the area, going as far away as Baden Baden, Switzerland and closer to Strasbourg and Colmar. "Really nice location with a great view. Some utilities upgrade would be welcomed - iron board but no iron. No large knives, just three tiny ones to cut (good luck with Watermon). Swimming pool amazing and clean. Pascale very welcoming. Badminton racquets could also be replaced, as all had snapped strings. Not too far away from Vin de Alsace route - half an hour drive.."

"We stayed here for visiting the Christmas Market in Strasbourg. The accommodation is even better than the pictures show. Matthieu is a great host, very friendly and had a lot of tips regarding Christmas Markets in Alsace. Thanks again for the great hospitality, we enjoyed every minute of it."

"The gite was tastefully decorated and had all the equipment you need. We visited in a heat wave and the gite was nice and cool and a has a huge bathroom / walk in shower. Lovely terrace outside which gives privacy from neighbours. Matthieu lives opposite and was on hand for anything we needed but not at all intrusive. Also lots of lovely forests nearby to walk or cycle in and it's near enough to the German border to easily have a day in Germany."

Fantastic little cabin in the mountains

"We spent a fabulous week in this small but well appointed cabin - 2 adults and 2 kids (13 and 10). We used it as a base to travel the area, going as far away as Baden Baden, Switzerland and closer to Strasbourg and Colmar. Nice hotel in Oberhaslach

"I stayed here for 2 nights and the staff was really friendly. The check in process was easy, note that the check in times on hotels.com are not correct and you can check in later. I'd contact the hotel to confirm. They spoke multiple languages at the hotel, which was helpful and were very nice. The restaurant was really good for dinner and reasonably priced. The room itself was nice. I booked the 4 person room for 2 people to have extra space and it was worth it. The regular rooms were standard European size, which is smaller than American hotel rooms. Note like other European hotels, it didn't look like there was air conditioning. This is common in European hotels. The room was very clean and the staff came to clean the room everyday. Also, to keep a quiet atmosphere for guests, you are not supposed to use the elevator after 10pm. The hotel has 3 floors so max it is 2 flights of stairs. As my room was near the elevator, I appreciated this. The parking is across the street and next to the hotel with easy access. I would stay here again if I visited Oberhaslach. I would reserve the bigger room again though to have extra space. "
