Great home base location for exploring the region
The front door opens to a classic Cisternino narrow alley across from a simple but good restaurant. From there it's short steps to the main square and other shops and restaurants.
Inside, the entry stairs are very steep. The kitchen is well equipped and relatively big for the compact nature of the entire apartment. Note that the dining table is in the adjacent living room. The living room space is comfortable and looks out over a portion of the main square. That primary window is at a second story height so there is good privacy during the day but we used either the privacy curtain or blackout curtain at night. The lights from the square are fairly bright. The bedroom feels compact. Note the door to the balcony doesn't open 100% because of the larger bed, however it is all accessible enough. The balcony itself is a very nice spot for 2 to look out over the entire square and people watch with good privacy. When the door and its shutter are closed it is almost completely quiet inside. Both bathrooms are nicely finished however the space for taking showers is cramped.
The overall feel of the space is small but open. The vaulted ceilings and liberal use of arched niches makes it interesting. The decor is modern and nicely executed. It all feels new and well designed. The spiral staircase is fun but don't expect to move anything but the smallest items up and down it. We left our luggage in the living room. There is very limited storage for clothes.
