"This property has been refurbished but some thought needed to be put into the bathroom for 302. You have a hard time finding the soap dispenser. It’s closer to the toilet than the sink. The cleaning staff do an excellent job & I would stay here again. Our biggest complaint was the bar area. The food was typical. But the staff seemed inattentive. We were offered free coffee but by the time we found someone to ask for our check we had been there long enough & went to bed. "

"Beautiful hotel and great location. Rooms are incredibly well maintained and decorated. Only thing letting the stay down was eating in the bar area on a coffee table (bending down to eat wasn't comfortable). Restaurant was closed during my stay."

"The reception staff was friendly, helpful, and informative during check in. The breakfast staff was also responsive. I had to go to the bar to get a menu. The fish and chips were good. I had to ask for my bill. The room was good but the bathroom had plumbing issues. I would stay again for the overall value. "

"Everything about the Lynwood House was wonderful! The room was beautiful, with a sitting area and a brand new on suite bathroom. There was a kettle for tea, a hair dryer, and a television. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views from the room are unmatched. Peter was so warm and welcoming, providing a bit of history and directing us to the best places in the town. We'd be glad to return on a future trip!"

"Staying in a newly refurbished room on the 3rd floor, everything was fresh and clean (though the pattern on the new carpet makes it look a bit threadbare in places). The fish and chips dinner was large and well cooked but the apple crumble dessert was disappointing as it was a small tart that seemed to have just been warmed up in a microwave and the ‘smudge’ of custard on the plate was barely enough to fill a teaspoon.
