Restored home on the south shore, offering a nice view from across the street.

We purchased this hidden gem with family getaways in mind. Across from the lake, with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, gathering spaces on each level and a patio in back; deck out front, large families and friends can comfortably stay here. The kitchen is ready for your chef and all linens are provided. Each day you can walk to the beach or nearby park, and in the evening watch beautiful sunsets over the lake from the deck. The lower level will definitely be the hangout spot with a foosball table, gametable, tv area, built in bar and walk out patio with grill, fire pit and flower garden. There's plenty of room in the driveway if you want to bring your boat, and a boat ramp is 2 minutes down the road. Kids will love this rambling home with secret passages in the walls!

Amazing Lake home
Sara's home was perfect for our long weekend stay. The home is immaculate, has tons of room and is perfectly situated in Clear Lake and close to activities and a quaint, picturesque downtown. Our hosts were quick to communicate and cared about our stay. I recommend their home without hesitation. Amazing place.

The house was super clean and had tons of space. The disco ball hallway was a favorite (nice touch :)). Firepit, nice back yard, lots of games, foosball, etc. Close to public beach area and a short drive to downtown. Hosts were very accommodating and easy to work with. We all had a great time!

FANTASTIC!
A great family home for making memories with great conversations. The beach is walking distance and neighbors have a joy to meet. Lots of space to enjoy time to yourself after playing games or talking around the fire. We hope to rent next year.

Family Reunion
We were in Clear Lake for a family reunion. The accommodations were perfect for the 13 of us staying there. There were many little touches that made it feel like home away from home. The only thing I would say is that the stairs might be difficult for an elderly person. We loved it and would definitely recommend it!!!

Perfect home for family gatherings!
Wonderful and welcoming home in Clear Lake Iowa! All the right touches to accommodate adults and children! Outdoor toys for the little ones, lots of beach toys and even a cooler for trips to the beach, patio for all to gather for barbeques while watching the kids play in the large back yard. Perfect!

Perfect Vacation Home
We had ages 9-65, and eveyone had a wonderful time! The house was amazing and we all loved the hidden passages in the upstairs! All the decorations were cute and it was a beautiful, comfortable home with all amenities! We brought 2 boats and were able to park them in the driveway and on street. Nice ramp to put in and park just a few miles up the road ( Off Crane). Will definitely try and stay here again!!!

The absolute perfect situation
This place was a dream. It was super cute and cozy. Tons of vibe. And also tons of space. Bedrooms and beds everywhere so everyone had a place to sleep. Beds were fantastic. Kitchen was great. Game room was fun. And a couple different cozy places to hang and connect. This place is tops. We just loved it.

Perfect spot!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. The location was perfect for us as we could just walk to the beach with the kids and also a few parks that were within walking distance as well. We had 6 adults and 3 children that stayed here so it was especially wonderful having 3 bathrooms and also lots of beds to choose from. The home is well equipped with everything you will need. Came for a family reunion
My brother and I came from southen illinois with our spouses for a family reunion in Klemme. This fun house was great for all the kids. We had a total of 8 children between my brother and I (13, 11, 10, 9, 4, 3, 2 and 2 week old baby) and they loved all the fun accommodations to the house. We never heard they where bored. Would recommend for big families! House had a wonderful story. Would had loved to learn more about the houses history. Thanks so much for sharing your home with our families over the weekend, we truly appreciate it.

Nice home for a getaway
We enjoyed our stay as we were in town for a family wedding. The property was clean and well-appointed. It had a lot of character and the decor was lovely. The only thing we could have used was an ironing board and iron as we needed to press some items for the wedding. Also, the coffee pot (Kuerig) was malfunctioning and bursting the pods, getting grounds on the counter and in your cup of coffee. As we were all coffee drinkers, this was a little disappointing. Otherwise, everything was great and as described in the listing.

Fantastic house! Beautifully kept old and charming house!
Highly recommended! I have used VRBO numerous times on several states and this is at the top of the list by far!! This house has all the amenities you would need to cook and entertain! Everything clean and fresh! High quality beds and linens! Lots of room for socializing and gatherings with two rooms that have x-large sofas and big screens for watching football games! Nice touch of decorations for the holidays to make it feel extra homey! The owner is fantastic to work with and response time is fast! We’ve stayed twice already!

Overall the house was wonderful. Plenty of beds and I like all the kitchen supplies. It made it very easy to cook. It was about three blocks from a very cute State park with a beach we enjoyed. Close to downtown and plenty to do. Really appreciated dishwasher and washer and dryer (and included soap). My only minuses was we all thought we would have more of a view of the lake, but it could only see a small view on the porch. The grill and fire pit were really dirty and we could not find a brush to clean it, so it took forever to clean. Overall minor things, to wonderful visit!

Family Time
We had the privilege to stay in this house for a family getaway. The owners thought of so many things to include for our stay. They have lawn chairs, corn hole boards, pack and play, etc. The house is conveniently located a short walk from the beach and the provided wagon and stroller helped us haul what we needed. The front deck and backyard were great gathering places for meals and games. The laundry allowed us to freshen up our suits and towels for another day at the beach and was handy for baby items that needed washing. Our granddaughters sure enjoyed the disco hallway. When the jet ski battery needed changing, tools were quickly delivered. We really enjoyed our time together in a place that was cozy and clean with ample room to come together as a family.

4 night summer getaway.
It has a lot of nice features but let me discuss three issues we had: the house has a musty smell. Air freshener just made it worse. Secondly, by the property description, I thought the property had lake access - after all it was just a few steps away. While the State park beach is in walking distance, it is 1/3 mile. A lot for little children. Finally, the queen mattresses have seen better days, sagging in the middle. Now the good parts: lots of cool hidden passages, a nice walkout basement (and we loved the foosball table) and nice kitchen.

Lovely home a short walk to the beach
We loved our visit to your lovely home. Upon arrival we found the house to be very clean on a quiet street just a short walk to the beach. Sara was easy to get a hold of and responded very quickly to my questions. Everything was perfect I cannot say one negative thing about this house. It was perfect for our family.
