Very nice place and host was very communicative. Beds were comfy and place was clean. Christmas story house and Rowley Inn so close…easy walk and delicious food at the Inn!

Concert Weekend HQ

Very nice accommodations for our trip to Cleveland. Convenient to our Lakewood, Ohio City, and downtown destinations. Would definitely stay here again.

Cutest little house

Very cute house in a nice neighborhood. Very clean exactly as advised. Host was quick to respond anytime I sent a message. Bed very comfortable, has everything you may need. Walking distance to Rowley Inn with amazing food. Definitely would stay here again.

Rock & roll road trip

Came in, house is in a super cool older neighborhood and the “A Christmas Story” house is visible from the sidewalk in front of the house. Clean, safe, just up the hill from Walmart, Target etc. Tremont is a cool district. Easy travel. In a big van and had room to park. 6 grown men stayed in the house, no problem. VRBO it! Great property.

The Emerald was enchanting

General area surrounding had some homeless people but I felt safe. Front door and back door had a lot of cold air coming through so it was hard keep warm. BUT it was SUPER cold thise days! Otherwise loved it. Was lovely!!!!

Nice host but not a nice place to stay for the price

VRBO showed a 3:00 pm check in time. We arrived at 2:30 figuring a 30 minute wait would be fine-it was a nice fall day and we could walk to the Christmas Story gift shop. The cleaning person showed up shortly after our 2:30 arrival and told us check-in was 4:00 pm. We called the Host who was very apologetic and explained VRBO needs updated to 4:00 for check-in and that we would need to wait. The cleaning person finished around 3:30 and we were asked if it looked good. Didn't notice anything that stood out other than the smell of Lysol and a broken outside gate however we needed to be at an event downtown so couldn't check it out thoroughly. Upon our return we noticed the bathroom had an odor so much that we didn't use the shower. It smelled like cigarette smoke throughout. I did let the host know since none of my party smoked, we did not want to be charged. There was left over butter in the cupboard and overall, it just wasn't clean. Floor boards were dirty and there were cobwebs in the corner of the living room ceiling. We paid $300 for the night and it was not worth this price. The unit is just not maintained.

Extended family Christmas

The emerald house was beautiful and had lots of amenities….not all of which we could partake in as we only stayed overnight. However, it was great to simply walk down the street to the Christmas Story House….our little family exchanged gifts and made Christmas cookies. It was a lovely little home away from home… the owner made it clear that he wanted to share his “home” and make it ours for the stay…and we did just that. Thanks for helping us make memories.

Shirt stay in Cleveland

We were stopping in Cleveland for the night on a road trip with our family of six and this was perfect. Comfortable accommodations and right around the corner from the Christmas Story House as well as a nice nearby running trail.
