The Old Loft - Cosy retreat in the picturesque Forest of Bowland

The newly-refurbished Old Loft is nestled in the picturesque village of Slaidburn within the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Also within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and bustling market towns of Clitheroe, Settle and Skipton, it makes a fantastic base for those wanting to explore the area, or simply enjoy a peaceful break away from it all.

The accommodation comprises entrance area, open plan kitchen, dining and living area with exposed stonework, downstairs shower room and king-size bedroom space on the mezzanine level. The kitchen is well equipped with a full size electric oven, two ring induction hob, microwave and fridge/freezer and there is a TV in the living area. Outside the private entrance there is also a patio area with seating.

A car is recommended to get around the area. However, there is a bus service running between the market towns of Clitheroe and Settle, which passes through the village.

Sorry no dogs.

Secure storage for bikes can be arranged on request.

A great little escape from it all in a little village with plenty of options. Cosy little cottage that’s perfect for those winter nights. Louise was very helpful with directions to the property and making sure we had everything we needed.

Fabulous country hideaway
Booked for a relaxing weekend not too far from home and boy did it live up to expectations . Very clear and concise arrival directions . Easy parking , spotlessly clean . The shower was a delight and so easy to use. The Ribble Valley is somewhere new to us both it’s filled with lovely villages , great pubs and tea/ coffee shops . The local pub serves good local dishes but book early . . For a great Sunday lunch try the Brown Cow at Chatburn wonderful service and a great roast . . Thank you Louise for making it a perfect weekend
