The hot tub water had just been changed, so the was only 56 degrees when we got there. However, he gave us a reimbursement for the inconvenience and were able to get in late the following day. "If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, look no further! This cute home located right next to Shawnee National Forest was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our dogs. The house is back in the woods with over 8 acres to explore. And the stars at night were incredible! Everything was very clean and our host provided bottled water and had all the makings for coffee. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!"

"Had a nice stay in a cute little cabin in the woods. Only downside I would say is the location, it’s literally a cabin in the woods. Not saying that’s a bad thing, at certain times of the year you may need a 4x4 vehicle to get in and out. We had a little Prius and the roads were a little muddy. Otherwise nothing but great things to say, would return in the future.. would highly recommend the giant state park restaurant, get the chicken!!! Also the iron whisk for a nice breakfast spot. "

"We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Although it wasn’t fairly big, it contained most of the necessary amenities we needed. The view at the fire pit was excellent as the sun set. There were many insects inside, but it didn’t really bother us. We cooked a lot so a dishwasher would be very helpful. The water of the shower head was extremely small and it took us lots of time to finish the shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we hope this review will help."

"Thank you for hosting us at your lovely cabin for our anniversary weekend! We truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and all the thoughtful touches that made our stay so relaxing. You provided everything we needed, and we felt right at home. Your kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The owners are nearby but very respectful of privacy.
