THE PROPERTY

This beautifully crafted cabin with Pine Floors is a beauty. Built in 2013 this cozy cabin is perfect For the wine trail adventure! Inside, the cabin features stylish decor, and all the amenities necessary for the ultimate getaway experience. Fully equipped kitchen for you cooking delight. With an open concept kitchen and living area, sit back and relax in front of the flat screen TV or gaze out the sliding Glass Windows into the private Forest and Creek.
The early riser of the group will look forward to enjoying their morning coffee in the screened in porch or the outdoor deck overlooking cave creek and the lush forest.. Additionally, the screened porch provides a tranquil space to sit, read and dine while nestled into the forest valley. The cabin has also has a large stone fire pit sitting right next to the creek. If the group is looking for other outdoor activities, the property sits on the River to River trail Shawnee National Forest.There is also a trail that connects with Cedar Lake down the road.

From Cabin on the Creek , you'll be in the perfect location to explore the area. If you're seeking water sports Little Grassy offers Kayak and Boat Rentals. Giant City is only 15 minutes away from Cabin on the Creek. In the Heart of the Shawnee National Forest, Giant City is known for some of the best hiking trails and interesting rocks formations. With hundreds of species of Trees, and rare flowers abound this park is a paradise. Horseback riding, that right! Giant City Stables! Check it out! Getting Hungry after a day of hiking and exploring? Amazing cabin in middle of wine country
This cabin is located so close to all the wineries in the wine trail. We had easy access to Alto Pass, Star view, Owl Creek, and so many more! The hot tub was a great way to unwind at the end of the day. And the owner was very great about communicating and following up. Would 500% recommend this place to anyone looking to take in the Shawnee state parks or South Illinois wine trail.

Get away from it all.
This is a really cool property that is very comfortable/cozy and and away from the hustle and bustle. It really does feel like you are in a tree house and connected with nature. The deck and screened in porch are great. It was really nice for that morning cup of coffee. I refinements would take the property over the top. The water pressure/flow is very poor. It was even hard to wash a dish. The fridge was not cold. I had to use the freezer as the fridge If you don’t min being disconnected ,this is great as cell service-WiFi is as advertised…very slow. Connection for stream is not possible.

Wine Trail Get Away
Good get away to visit the wine trail. Close to many wineries but far enough away to feel away from others. The cabin was basic, but nice. It was what we were looking for because we didn’t want to stay long. Water pressure was good (many reviews complained about water pressure, but it was fixed before our visit). There were actually two bathrooms with two standup showers.

The property was very clean and located in a wuiet surrounding. Beautiful back drop behind the cabin. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable. It was centrally located to a lake, trails, bourbon bar and wineries. The property manager was friendly and made great suggestions for the activities we were wanting to do.

A little slice of heaven, a creek running right outside your front door, at night you can hear the water flowing its so calm and peaceful.. Owner is very responsive and deeply cares about your stay!! I would give him 10 stars if possible!!

I loved being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The home is cozy but the water pressure for showers was almost non existent. It would be nice to have better internet for rainy days. But overall nice stay and beautiful home and outdoor space.

A very pretty area
This is a beautiful piece of property with a very basic cabin. The owner was attentive and checked in on us. Overall our stay was nice and comfortable. The bed was comfortable which is a big plus. We enjoyed our time here. The only complaint I would have is a lack of water pressure. The cabin could use a water pressure tank. That would have made a huge difference. All in all, a pretty nice VRBO property.

Fun Family Getaway
We loved staying at the cabin on the creek! The creek itself provided tons of entertainment for our almost 3-year-old. Lots of hiking and outdoor entertainment nearby. The host was a fantastic communicator leading up to and on the trip dates. The outdoor spaces at the property are nice little escapes from the city! Great stay, would recommend!

Cousins getaway
This was our runaway from home weekend. The cabin was very comfortable. The hot tube was very welcome after a day of travel. I loved the creek and wish that the weather had been nicer to enjoy it more. Brian was very prompt to respond to any communication. Highly recommend.

Great Stay!
We had a great time at this little cabin. Just a few feet away from a portion of the River to River Trail. We hiked 2 of the days we were there, enjoyed the wineries with live music, and great atmosphere. Enjoyed a campfire every night along with the hot tub. We will be back!
