"Owner was in contact straight with a very extensive information package running to several pages. He also contacted us by TELEPHONE directly from the USA! The booklet emphasised the wooden floors (several times) as also he did (several times) which was a tad OTT (or maybe just tor us standoffish Brits). "We just enjoyed an incredible stay at Mews #6, while a large group of relatives rented four of the newer lodges on the Castlemartyr property. For ten nights we enjoyed cozy digs while being in very close proximity to the rest of the family. Although in need of a few repairs, the cottage suited us well, providing comfort and charm. "Two grandparents, two parents and two children . The stairs were a littl tricky w no rail but the ability to close the downstairs and easily child friendly was perfect. We had everything we needed. There was confusion re high chair but woman on site manager got one the next day. Would definitely go back"

The place is clean, comfortable, well equipped, very quiet and at walking distance to the city centre. The apartment was a perfect base to visit (in our case, by foot, bus and train) Cork and its surroundings."

"Spent a week in Oct here while some family members attende Ballymaloe cooking school. Great location with excellent water views. Property manger was very quick to answer questions. We did have to extend our stay as there is no check ins on Sunday. That was an unexpected cost. "

"There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot."
