Value for money hotel
Value for money hotel that is well situated. Staff are helpful and pleasant although you have to ask for things rather than them being provided in the first place (I suppose this could be the new normal for hotels) Breakfasts are plentiful and well cooked The room we stayed in was very tired and the bathroom was dingy

Cobwebs everywhere! In the reception, the eating areas, the staircases and in my bedroom. Bathroom was dirty with black mould on the ceiling. Black water came out if the shower head and when the hot water eventually came through the bath tap, you couldn’t turn it off. Radiators came on in the evening, but, freezing in the morning and the front dooor wide open. I had to wear my coat to breakfast. Carpet on stair treads was worn and dangerous. Carpets in public areas were worn and dirty. China on breakfast table had a chip in the cup. The whole place has not been touched since the owners took it over some 14 years ago. Wants a total deep clean and decoration I could not in all honesty recommend this to anyone in its present state.

Broughton craggs hotel
It was ok for an overnight stay. Stayed in better stayed in much worse. It was ok . Just felt like it needed sprucing up / refurbed but nothing major was clean enough. Owner made me a bacon toastie for breakfast following day which was nice as I was leaving early but tasty bacon but no butter on toast so a bit dry to eat :( still appreciated her doing it though . Difficult to find in the dark though ...off the beaten track . Trust in your sat nav ....you winder where the heck it’s taking you but bare with it it will take you there :)
