Cozy Log Cabin on 15 acres, with private lake, 1 mile from Lake Michigan

Log cabin 3 bed / 1 bath plus bunk room on 15 acres in Southwest Michigan! Includes a private small lake on property with dock and canoes. Hot tub & fire pit! Sleeps 8-10.
Relax in a 3-level cabin with loft, game room, outdoor bonfire pit, hot tub and grill. In the summer enjoy golf, wineries, boating, shopping, and more! In the winter enjoy snow mobile trails, cross country skiing, ice fishing, and cozy cabin life!
1 mile to Lake Michigan beaches. 15 minutes to St. Joseph and South Haven, 90 minutes from downtown Chicago 2.5 hours from Detroit. About the lake: the private lake is rustic, mostly used for nature & wildlife viewing. Some guests feel comfortable fishing & taking the canoes out; it is a no-frills experience and at your own risk. Please note there is a skoolie (green school bus) and tent campsite on property. We own these but are not currently renting them out. You will have the entire property to yourself! One day we hope to renovate the skoolie for additional guests.

Weekend of Serenity
The perfect getaway with family. My dad is still talking about how the hot tub was one of the best he’s ever been in! i loved the view from the porches. We are lucky enough to see the northern lights one night. Would definitely love to come back again.

Great cabin!
Our family of 8 had a wonderful stay at this spacious, fun cabin! Plenty of room to spread out inside, yet close to lots of local area activities. We didn’t spend much time at the pond/lake, but did enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Kelly was easy to communicate with, and we would highly recommend her place for anyone coming to the area.

My wife and I stayed for a blizzard weekend. From the hot tub, to beautiful walks in the snow, this is just what we needed. This property would be great to bring the family back to when it is warm. So many things to do with many local places to visit. Book your stay today!!

Isolated and modern vacation Cabin
Myself and some family and friends stayed here this past weekend and we had a total blast. The cabin is huge, gorgeous, incredibly modern and cozy. Kelly was quick and responsive with any questkkns or concerns we had. The private trail leading to the lake was nice but we didn't really interact with it as it was covered in algae. The hot tub really was the cherry on top. Overall our trip couldn't have gone any better. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Relaxing Getaway
We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time! We loved the convenience of the location and being close to restaurants and beaches, yet still feeling like we were secluded enough for a relaxing time. The house was wonderful, and had lots to do for kids (and kids at heart)! Our 3.5 year olds had a blast in the basement! Our only complaint would be the need to have a second bathroom. Just a half bath downstairs would be nice, so we don’t all have to share one. Other than that, it was great, and clean! Plenty of towels and beach towels were available, we shouldn’t have brought our own. The bunk beds were a hit with our kids as well! We had a great time, and loved the area! Thanks!!

Property was clean and the location was great for a day at any number of Lake Michigan beaches. More than enough room for the six of us. It was just an overnight trip so we didn't get to enjoy the property as much as we could of but would book it again in the future.

Great Rustic Cabin!
Our stay was very comfortable. The kids loved it, and there was plenty of room to roam. Wish the pond was usable, but too much algae. The mile ride to the beautiful, quiet beach was great! Minor issues….We wanted to turn off the air conditioner, but screens are not on most of the windows. More glasses for adults would be nice. Overall, great stay!

Great fit for our family!
Our family enjoyed the cabin very much! It offered lots to do at the property, including areas inside to be together or apart. We enjoyed the close proximity to a wonderful beach where our dog was welcome (Roadside Beach). Another plus was the short distance to both St Joseph and South Haven-great towns with plenty of ice cream, friendly people and great piers to walk along. Easy communication with hosts! Thank you. We will recommend to friends!

The house is clean and well stocked. The setting of the home is private and the yard area well kept. The rest of the property is densley wooded. The lake, you can not see from the house. Theres a mowed path to it. The lake is algea covered. Overall, its a great place

Perfect family vacation spot!
The cabin was exactly as it was listed in the pictures, and was perfect for our family get away! We had a great time grilling out and eating at the large dining table each night. The kids loved the foosball and ping pong table and all of the furniture was very comfortable. We would definitely love to come back and unwind again in the future!

Cabin and beach getaway
We had a great stay at the cabin. Played games with the family and sat in the hot tub. We thought we would spend more time out on the lake but it was a long tough paddle out through the lilly pads so that was a one and done for the kids. The beach nearby was dog friendly so was the perfect spot for us instead. Kelly resesponded quickly to all our questions during our stay so that was very helpful.

Nice place to stay and relax. Close to other cities like St. Joseph and South Haven. We have 2 dogs and there is a nice pet friendly beach 5 minutes from the house, Hagar Beach.

Was a nice get away for a long weekend with family. Would be nice if there was a larger area inside for seating with family after a long day of hiking. Overall was a great stay. Property was beautiful.

Good location
The good: The cabin is very spacious. The record player was very nice, we used it often. Very private and quiet location, hearing the frogs at night was great. The kitchen is well stocked and there are an abundance of towels. The master bed is very comfy. The bad: There is a hole in one corner of the deck, big enough for a child or small dog to fall through. The inside seems be be in the middle of a remodel. The coffee maker pot was broken, one of the ovens heating elements was hanging down, the grass needed mowing, there are bees covering the stairs to the porch, there is a bus extremely close to the cabin with no trespassing signs, the lake is covered in algea and there is a securiry camera above the hot tub.

Overall, very nice!
Most important areas were clean, some dust, etc, in out of the way places. Cabin is in a wooded area with a path to the small lake. Lake wasn't visible from the cabin, and was very algae covered. Cabin was large, with lots of space for my family, and lots of thoughtful amenities, games, movies, kitchen necessities.

We were very impressed by the property and the location. It was very easy to find and accessible to everyone in our group. We all loved the log cabin and the decor. The bedding was very comfortable and the amount of pillows on the furniture was perfect! The game tables, fire pit and hot tub were super popular! The walking trails and lake was a nice bonus. We enjoyed our time on the property very much.

This is a beautifully authentic log cabin in the woods. Short drive or walk to Lake Michigan beach access. Beach is large , clean, and easily accessible. Kelly was responsive to any questions we might have had. It is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. Property lake is a great spot for a bird watching and frog finding adventure, would also perfect for a kayak! Beds in cabin are comfortable. Plenty to do for the whole family. Highly recommend.

Amazing
This cabin is perfect for a family get away. It is surrounded by trees with grills and everything else you could need for outdoor fun. There is a beautiful trail that leads down to water and a small dock for fishing and canoes. There is plenty of room with three levels and seperate living rooms for all ages. Our favorite part was the dining room table where we sat every evening and had dinner together. We WILL be back.

Good Location, great management!
We spent the weekend there with two young kids. The property is in great location with privacy. There are many fun activists like fishing, boating, and gaming inside the house. Great hot tub and comfortable beds! It should be even nicer in summer time. Also, the host was very nice and response quick for all our questions.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! We were able to bring our dogs with us and enjoyed some time away unplugging. The property is gorgeous and not far away from food and groceries. Great hospitality!!
