"Our stay at the Wallace Lodge was seemless from booking to checking out. Wallace communicated with us immediately after booking and advised us of all pertinent information needed for the stay. We took a drive from London to the Wallace Lodge and he waited till our arrival at 2130 to personally greet us and show us around. Everything is as described within the listing. The location is peaceful and out of the way but central enough to get to pretty much anywhere in the highlands in an hour or two by car. "Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "

"The lodging was just beautiful; well appointed and stocked, very nicely decorated. Our host was very attentive to our needs and very quick to respond to questions and requests. I would give this property and its location and value the highest rating possible."

"The location to Stirling was great. Very quiet. Siri had a hard time finding it (not sure why). Also, we suggested to owners put their number of the side of the house which faces the street since the picture shows the front which is not the street view."

"The hotel was clean and nice. Good quiet room. Stayed here for 2 nights as it was red warning after the first night, so I extended my stay. A bit disappointing was the closure of the indoor pool and gym on the second day. Afterall that was the reason I paid for the hotel. On the first night, the staff was so determined to get rid of us that they stopped the steamroom and jacuzzi 15 mins ahead of closure time of 8 pm. The other issue was parking. They tried to charge parking for £10 a night if...
