Your taxi driver will make an excursion to the IGA supermarket and wait while you pick up supplies. Here, you’ll find everything you need for your stay at Far Away Villa, so fill your cart before you set forth on adventure! After you leave the IGA, your driver will take you to the Caribbean Cruisin' walk-on ferry. Keep an eye on the time to make sure you arrive at the ferry landing at least 30 minutes before departure.
The ferry ride gives you a lovely view of the cays and channels between Provo and North Caicos where you will meet your next taxi driver, or rental car, at Belfield's Landings. Drive 35 minutes to Mudjin Harbour, then turn left at the Mudjin Bar & Grill sign. Follow the driveway past the Bar & Grill, then turn right. Far Away Villa is the peach house with the car port at the top of the hill.
Reservations for taxis and rental cars are essential. Turks and Caicos is an off-shore British territory and driving is on the left.
You will find convenience stores in North Caicos where you can pick up a few items. They carry a selection of frozen and canned grocery items.
Middle Caicos is the best Caribbean Island for both families and couples to unwind, play in the ocean, snorkel, fish from shore, and hike along the beautiful cliffs of the Crossing Place Trail. Escape the bustle of Providenciales and immerse yourself in Middle Caicos natural beauty.
Be sure to stroll the rocky path up the hill just beyond the Mudjin Bar & Grill. There is a stone path to a stair that descends to a hidden beach. For the adventurist, the path continues beyond to the Crossing Place trail which meanders along the oceanside cliffs to the Blowing Hole. Bring lots of water and sun protection, and don't forget your camera!
