This one bedroom/one bath apartment is the first floor of a three-story oceanfront home that is perched directly above the crashing Pacific Ocean waves. Only 200 feet away, there is private access to Lighthouse Beach. This spectacular beach is bounded on both the north and south by 60 foot-tall sandstone cliffs that extend into the ocean. Because there is no public access to this ½ mile sandy beach between the rocky headlands from the north or south, it is the closest thing to a private beach in Oregon. Enjoy amazing views of Gregory Point, the historic Cape Arago lighthouse on Chief Island, and Lighthouse Beach from the master bedroom, kitchenette, living room, dining room and private deck in this spectacularly located one bedroom apartment. Be captivated by the 180 degree views from the Cape Arago lighthouse to Yoakam Point from the kitchenette, dining room and living room.
You’ll sink into a comfortable queen bed every night. Open the windows and fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below your home. Relax on the cozy wind-protected deck while the brilliant sun sets behind the Cape Arago lighthouse on Chief Island. The heated tile floors will keep you toasty day and night. Curl up by the gas fireplace and enjoy the wonderful views from the comfort of your couch or rocking chair. Two additional adults can sleep on the queen hide-a-bed in the living room and a child can sleep in the provided Pack ‘N Play.
Lighthouse Beach has numerous interesting geological features including steep sandstone cliffs, small caves, small waterfalls and rivulets to the ocean, monolithic rocks in the surf and stone promontories that project into the ocean to create tiny U-shaped private beaches during high tide. Walking along the sandy beach you are treated to unparalleled views of the Cape Arago lighthouse perched on Chief Island, the hole through the island and the steep cliffs that protect this unique stretch of beach.
The kitchenette has a full-size refrigerator, quartz countertops, farm sink, microwave, countertop convection oven, crockpot, electric griddle, electric tea kettle and rice cooker. Other amenities include a blender, coffee grinder, coffee maker, and all the utensils, flatware and silverware needed for cooking, barbecuing and serving six people.
The property is gated, with a paved driveway and parking, large back yard with lawn, mature trees and shrubbery and a large oceanfront yard to experience the beautiful Oregon coast. To take advantage of the Oregon coast, amenities include crab pots for catching your own Dungeness crabs, tools for harvesting mussels on the onshore rocks, shovels for harvesting razor clams, huge Empire clams and cockles, buckets, boots, an outdoor kettle for cooking your catch, gas barbecue, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, and beach toys for children.
