The local area has some fantastic scenery and is almost a step back in time. The local Pub restaurant has a great atmosphere ,and the food and beer were marvellous! "

"This georgian house is impressive but in great need of some TLC. Mary the house keeper/property manager does a great job of keeping it clean and tidy but there are serious things that need addressing in order to maintain the house: the house has damp - stained peeling wallpaper shows this, as do the mushrooms growing out the beam by the front door. I'd urge the owner to get this under control before it takes hold of the property. A few features in the description are untrue: there is no games...

"Beautiful location on the water. Fireplace for turf fires. Basic accommodations but basic is all you need in such a fantastic locality. The folks in Carna were accommodating. Be careful while driving here - but you probably already know that."

"This property was perfect for me and my extended family. Both granddaughters were over the moon at having a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. All four adults found the bedrooms, community areas and kitchen to be a great value with enough space for everyone to find seclusion when needed, and ample room for group meals and other activities. We loved the area and quickly found our way throughout the region and many of the area attractions. This house is a pure gem and we will remember our...

"My siblings and I, along with our spouses, just returned from our stay at this property. It is a beautiful house and the location can't be beat! The host is responsive and helpful, telling us all about the property and area. Beds were comfy, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. I/We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we're in Ireland! If you're considering a stay here....book it.....you won't be disappointed!"

"We enjoyed a lot our stay in Aine´s house. The house is confortable and spacious. The kitchen is big and convenient, close to the terrasse. The hot tub was appreciated at the end of the day. Kids loved to spend time with Poppy, the friendly dog ! We have visited Connemara and the aran island Inis oirr that we recommand."
