Caught in the Clouds but Still Enjoyed the View!
We came for stargazing at a pet-friendly cabin and, despite being "clouded out" the first night we still had a fantastic time. The cabin was clean and check-in was easy. We were able to get some stargazing in on our second night, despite some clouds, and you could tell on a clear night this would be the place to be! Loved the various areas to enjoy, including an enclosed front porch where we watched the rain come in. The large field made for a great area to stargaze and we decided to stay there and skip the main park altogether. The set up was great for a group and kid-friendly with some games, plenty of nightlights and covers on the outlets. We look forward to staying here again with a larger group and will hope for a clearer night!

Great Cabin and Location
We enjoyed our stay a great deal, everyone had a fun time. The fire pit was awesome and the space everyone had a selling point. The only negative, which is relatively minor, as we had wireless access on our phones, was that there was no wi-fi password provided, nor a welcome book with emergency facilities, as well as other important locations, restaurants and points of emphasis. Wi-fi was listed as an amenity in the listing. We've stayed at multiple other homes through VRBO, and all have had this information available. With that being said, we would definitely look to stay at this house again.

Perfect cabin for stargazing
This property was just as listed and what we expected. It had everything we needed including paper towels, tp, linens and even shampoo/soap. the location was great. we were able to view the starry sky from the property but also from Cherry Springs State Park which is about 30 minutes away. we took a day trip to Wellsboro and PA Grand Canyon which were about an hour away. There are stores about 10 minutes away if you need anything. the owner was very responsive and east to work with.

Very inviting. Older property with all the necessary conviences. Our last night was cloudless and the stars were amazing. Beautiful stream on the property where the dog got her first swimming lesson. Wonderful weekend for my adult children and myself.

Underwhelmed
The place was a disappointment! Overpriced and under kept. Water doesn't drain from the sink air conditioning units are in the windows which aren't sealed properly. Master has a queen every other room twin beds no rooms for couples. Beds very old and extremely squeaky and noisy. A bit musty and damp smelling. No washer and dryer and we had packed expecting to have this available. Every day we're hiking or swimming and there was no washer to clean anything. On a good note the location was great very close to the Dark Park but most things to do are about an hour away but horseback riding in town was awesome! We would NOT stay at this property or recommend it.

Family get away
We all had a great time at the cabin. It was spacious enough for our group of 8. We had beautiful weather and were able to see many stars right from the properties dark sky. The propane tank for the grill was low so we did have to purchase propane and we also had to purchase fire wood from a local store for our campfires at night. Not many electrical outlets in the kitchen so you may want to pack a power strip or extension cord for additional appliances such as a toaster or crock pot. Overall a great location and would stay again.

Great private get away
This home is very private, could only see one other home which was unoccupied. Very large yard with fire pit…pitch black at night…great for scary story telling and star gazing! The inside of the house was beautiful and comfortable. Portable air conditioners kept us very comfortable mid July. Close to PA Grand Canyon and Cherry Spring State Park. Horseback riding right up the road. Would definitely stay again.

House needs a few updates
Overall it was a lovely location amd we had a great time. It just needs a few upgrades. One front heating element on the electric stove didn't work. The manual can opener was not functioning at all. Also the refrigerator was leaking a puddle of condensation and its ligjtbulb was not always working. Other than that, the place was very roomy that could have had more people if they accepted our invites. Will definitely be back in this area again!

Nice place for group
We had a lovely stay with our adult children. There is room for many people and two bathrooms which was perfect. The common areas were comfortable and the dining/ kitchen area was large and functional. The property is lovely. Close to trails (which we walked even though snow- covered and in the teens). Would like to return in the warm weather!

Perfect spot for relaxation in Dark Sky Country
My group had a fantastic stay at the cabin. True to the description, it is an excellent location for stargazing. Even with a roaring campfire going in the fire pit we could still see the splendor of the sky in Dark Sky Country, including the Milky Way, on the clear nights. The babbling stream on the edge of property provides a perfect ambient sound for relaxation and the cabin was spacious enough for six people without anyone feeling like they were stumbling over each other. Wildlife was plentiful in the area just around the cabin, including deer and wild turkeys we saw and some howling coyotes that could heard at night. The host was extremely quick with response when I had a question about where the firewood was kept and had the cabin stocked with essentials. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a mountain getaway!

Lovely
The cabin was cute, clean, roomy, and had most everything you needed. It was a home away from home. Internet wifi was good. TV had Netflix. There was a huge master bedroom with its own bathroom and queen bed. Immediately outside that room was a open sleeping/living room area which would be perfect for young kids. One of the beds had safety rail- suitable for a toddler etc. . Down the hall were three more bedrooms and separate bath. Each of these 3 bedrooms had 2 twins beds separated by a night stand. Mattresses and box springs looked clean and new. (No bedbugs or anything gross) 2 of the rooms had ceiling fans . The 3rd had a box fan in the closet. All of the rooms had a closet with a light with extra chairs, hangers blankets etc. There was a large dining area and table and a cozy living room space where the tv was. I believe there was a separate tv in the master bedroom too. The kitchen had a portable AC unit which was easy to use. The kitchen had all plates, bowls , glasses, utensils, many pots and pans, collinder, and many extras like spices, hot chocolate etc. Bring your own mayo and butter tho. . There wasn't a toaster but a toaster oven. There was plenty of towels, hand towels and washcloths. I'd bring an extra paper towel roll, napkins , and TP, just to be safe. Sky was dark but horizon was partially blocked because cabin is kind of set in a valley. The drive to Cherry Springs Park is 10 or so minutes and pretty direct and worth it . .

Fantastic Getaway
We had an awesome time at this property. There was so much room for my family and 3 pups. The property was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed accessible to us. We were all so comfortable and relaxed. During the day we visited nearby towns (Galeton, Coudersport, Wellsboro) and we visited the PA Grand Canyon and during the evenings we played yard games and built a fire in the fire pit while the pups ran free on the spacious lawn and even went down and played in the stream on the property! We will definitely rent this property again next time we are in the area!

Great Stay
The property has a very large lawn and big stream for my lab to run and explore. It is private and quiet. The house is very nice, with beds for 10, though 8 of the beds are singles. That didn't negatively affect us at all. The 2 full baths were nice. The front deck is covered, which is nice when it is rainy. The back deck is open for star gazing. The firepit has wood available in the shed for a nice campfire. We had a great relaxing time, and I look forward to staying again in the future.

A relaxing family getaway
We came for thanksgiving week and had a lovely time. Great space for our toddler and 10 month old to explore and the s’mores at the firepit were a big hit. Beds are old spring mattresses, but comfy (even with my weak back!). Cabin warms up well with space heaters, despite night temps falling to the 20s on our first night. Also super welcoming for our pup - they had a dog bed laid out along with a water and food bowl - loved that :) Small kitchen that’s stocked with cooking essentials like pots/pans, colander, peeler. Owners are extremely responsive and brought over a roasting pan as well as additional towels. They also recommended nearby hiking areas we could check out off season. Sadly, the weather was cloudy during our stay so we saw zero stars - make sure to check out the forecast and bring some backup board games! A couple call outs - there is only one master and all the other rooms have two twin beds; a little tough if you have another adult couple in your group. The second bathroom’s drain was clogged, so we were all showering in the master bathroom, which would have been inconvenient if we had brought our extended family. And someone before us had covered the backyard with bread and pasta, which was an eyesore and irresponsible - hello, leave no trace? All that said, it was a relaxing stay and a much-needed escape for the holiday.

Great spot in the middle of nowhere
This is a clean, extremely quiet, very dark spot a few miles outside of Coudersport. Listing is completely accurate - it has five bedrooms that easily sleep ten total adults (or a few more if toddlers are involved). Kitchen is well maintained and includes all usual items (pots and pans, dishes, silverware, a few mugs. I recommend bringing paper plates and cups, because otherwise your hand-washed dishes will exceed the space you have to air dry everything. The cabin is on a little gravel road bordering on a state forest, which provides for a very tiring hike straight uphill for a long way (I'm not sure exactly how far - it's very tiring). Or, as advertised, there's a cute little creek a few feet away. Never saw any fish, but it's a great spot for foot dipping on a hot summer day. There's also a campfire spot and a shed fully stocked with firewood - perfect for s'mores. And, at night, you get the real benefit of being in the middle of nowhere - the backyard is impossibly dark, and after a few minutes for your eyes to adjust, you'll see more over your head than you ever believed possible - so many stars, the Milky Way, passing satellites, a meteor every few minutes. We even saw the International Space Station zip by once! All this is true even if you have a campfire roaring - just don't look at it while it warms you. If you run out of anything (towels, toilet paper, etc.) the owner responds quickly. I didn't have anything more serious occur while I was there. If you really, really, want a negative, the WiFi internet connection through what I think is a satellite feed works but is slow. But, if you're coming here to work, you're totally missing the point. Come here to get away from it all instead.
