The pool is lovely - a great size, clean, heated and in a lovely setting. The location is beautiful, in the grounds of the chateau, and we enjoyed eating at the large table outside under the tree. "Rural house in old village in the French countryside. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Great place to unwind for a while!"

"The property is located in the historic district of nogent le retroux. It is a beautiful town. However, there is room for improvment. The bathub on 2nd floor did not work. There was only 1 towel per bathroom. We had to pay extra E30 to get sheets and make our own beds."

We had several ‘challenges’- the heater in the bathroom only stayed on for 1 minute, the hairdrier did not work, the room was very clean when we arrived but daily room service was poor- only made the bed and changed the towels. In terms of eating out, we had a really delicious meal at the restaurant Aux Trois Pastoureaux in Chateaudun which is about 20 mins drive away - would highly recommend. All in all we had an amazing week and would love to go back at some point."
