The kitchen is fully equipped with oven and fridge and freezer- The electricity is generated by solar panels. Swimming pool of 6 metres by 3 metres. A peaceful place in 4 hectares of trees and meadows. 2 kilometres from the village of CrespiĆ , 32 km from the Costa Brava, 15 km from Banyoles with its popular lake for swimming . 13 km from the medieval village of BesalĆŗ with its famous bridge and 40 km from Girona the capital of the province with a beautiful cathedral, Romanic churches and the old Jewish quarter within the walls of the old city.

The hosts Helen and Joan are lovely and very helpful. This is a great location for exploring this lovely area. The swimming pool was great for a dip and the cottage is as described. Very peaceful and rural. We took a few days to adjust as it is rustic and local mossies liked to bite us! Fab restaurant La Trobada a few mins away and lovely walks nearby through Walnut orchards. Figueres(Dali Museum) and Costa Brava short drives away. We loved swimming in Banyoles lake. Go to Platya de La Rovina if you have dogs. Fine dining at La Tartana..

The perfect getaway
My husband and I, along with our four dogs, had an utterly delightful time staying at Can Nas de Gos last week. Terry and Gloria were wonderful hosts, welcoming and warm, happy to chat but also very respectful of our privacy. The house was larger than I expected from the photos (I've found in the past that pictures can make a tiny space look far larger than it is), so we were pleasantly surprised by that. We found it very comfortable and, as it was cooler once the sun went down, enjoyed sitting in front of the open fire in the evening to read our books. During the day, we explored the numerous and varied walks around the area. Some are accessible from the door, but there are many others just a few minutes' drive away. We would love to return for more "getting away from it all" in the future. I can't recommend this property highly enough for others who enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Great remote location, hosts were fantastic even producing a couple of wonderful tortillas which went down very well with the vegetarians in the group. The free standing pool was more than adequate and the peace and quiet blissful. The owners clearly love the area and are on hand if required but give you your privacy. The only minor negative is that the bedrooms could have done with a couple of fans, the evenings were very warm. We kept the shutters closed during the day and then opened everything up in the evening, leaving just the mosquito mesh in place but there was no air-flow.

Tranquility and rustic charm.
We stayed at this lovely place for four days and wished we could have spent more time there. Our two young sons had a great time exploring the meadows and woods surrounding the cottage. There are plenty of places to sit outside either in the sunshine or in the shade of the trees. The traditional Catalan style cottage was spacious and comfortable, We especially liked the evening fires as it was cool at this time of year. Our family. As there was no noise pollution our family slept very well. The location of the cottage was suitable for reaching the major points of interest by car. Terry and Gloria were good hosts and we certainly appreciated the warm, home baked pastries ! ( Fresh eggs, and fruit as well ! ) Their dogs, Black and Jack were rambunctious and very friendly. It was apleasure to experience this quiet and relaxing abode. Thank you Terry and Gloria.

A cosy cottage in a peaceful location
We loved staying at Terry and Gloria's charming cottage. The property is surrounded by forest and is very peaceful and private. There was plenty of space for our group of 4. We enjoyed swimming in the little pool, preparing meals in the kitchen, building fires in the evening, sitting out under the stars. For those needing to work the internet was fine. The area is is wonderful for visiting both mountains and coastline, and there are many nice options for eating out, particularly the Michelin bib gourmand in the next town. Our hosts were delightful and made us feel at home with fruits, cava, and delicious tortilla. Many thanks, we hope to return!

Lovely shaded spot to be yourselves and have fun
The cottage in the woods whilst quite remote is a lovely, cool shaded spot to relax in. Our teenage boys had a great time in the pool and the wi fi was good. The area has plenty to see if you are prepared to drive. Terry and Gloria are welcoming and informative hosts.

Excellent Accomodation and Friendly Hosts
We spent 16 days in the cottage in the pines. Terry and Gloria were excellent hosts and we enjoyed their company. There are many interesting places to visit and plenty of enjoyable walks in the area. We spent several days around the volcanic park and in neighbouring towns and villages.

Out family visit to Can Nas de Gos
We visited the cabin for nearly one week this summer, with the hope to disconnect from big city and work. For our kids, the most important thing is always the pool, so we chose this cabin specially for that reason. Sadly for us, we had the hottest week in the year with a temperature of 38 to 42 Ā°C and no clouds. Therefore, we could only use the pool in the morning and the evening, when the sun was not so strong. But the pool was absolutely amazing and it is always best to not having to share it with more people. The garden is very big and beautiful, sadly for us the times we were outside we spent in the pool. The high temperatures kept on during nights and the cabin has only ceiling ventilators, no A/C. But with daily trips to the coast, we managed to cool down a bit in the Mediterranean. In this zone is not that much to see, only a few smaller cities. For more, you have to drive about 30 minutes at least. So yes, to get there AND go for groceries and trips, you definitely NEED a car. It is not possible to grill in the garden, the whole region is banned for outside grilling due to danger of fire. And the house has no laundry machine. Last but definitely not least, the drinking water comes from a well. As the water levels in the ground vary during seasons, so does the quality of the water. We were informed on site, that the drinking water was no good to drink and we had to buy water or refill bottles in the town nearby. This is not acceptable, specially in the summer!

eine Schƶne Auszeit mit der Familie
Can Nas de Gos ist perfekt fĆ¼r eine Familienauszeit. Die Lage ist ruhig und gleichzeitig kommt man ziemlich schnell nach Girona, Figueres und weitere wunderschƶne benachbarten StƤdte. Wir waren auch mehrmals in Costa Brava und die wunderschƶne StrƤnde zu genieƟen. Helen war eine wirklich wunderbare Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns immer wieder Tipps gegeben und nachgefragt ob alles in Ordnung war. Unsere Kinder haben den Pool und die Freie total genossen. Die zwei sĆ¼ĆŸen Schafen Blacky und Sporty sind ab und an vorbeigekommen um Nahrung zu suchen. Das was fĆ¼r unsere Kinder (5 und 3 Jahren alt) sehr schƶn. Can Nas de Gos ist sehr zu empfehlen, besonders fĆ¼r Familien mit kleinen Kindern.

Nous avons dĆ©couvert ce que nous cherchions depuis longtemps: le calme, l'isolement, dans un grand parc, une maison rustique, avec les avantages et les dĆ©fauts que cela comporte, une petite piscine dĆ©lassante et rafraichissante, un environnement riche en lieux de visites... Parfait, donc, sauf: Nous avions rĆ©servĆ© deux semaines, de dimanche Ć  dimanche. Par la suite, la propriĆ©taire nous a proposĆ© de rester un jour de plus, donc jusqu'au lundi. Ravis, nous avons acceptĆ© avec reconnaissance! Mais Ć  la fin du sĆ©jour, le samedi midi, nous avons reƧu un SMS lapidaire: "Ah je me suis trompĆ© vous partez le dimanche demain. Alors je serais lĆ  pour vous dire au revoir. A demain." StupĆ©faits, nous la contactons en retour par SMS, lui rappelant sa promesse, sans rĆ©ponse. Un autre SMS, un appel tĆ©lĆ©phonique, toujours rien. TrĆØs dƩƧus, nous nous rĆ©signons Ć  faire nos valises pour un dĆ©part le dimanche matin, conformĆ©ment au contrat initial. Le retour Ć©tant prĆ©vu avec une Ć©tape, nous devons annuler notre rĆ©servation du lundi soir et en trouver une nouvelle pour le dimanche soir. A 20 heures, nous recevons un autre SMS: "avez vous reƧu mon message?" sans autre prĆ©cision ni rĆ©fĆ©rence au notre. Et nous quittons le gĆ®te, comme prĆ©vu par le contrat, Ć  10 heures le dimanche, amers et dƩƧus, sans avoir vu quelqu'un. Ceci a terni la bonne impression que nous avions eue!

Paradise!
We stayed here for a week and we loved it! Especially the pool and the huge garden. My kids (14, 10 and 7) allready asked if we could go back next year. The location is also good to explore the area. We went to see some coastal villages, Girona and went to Barcelona for a day. I would really recommend this place if you're looking for peace and quiet.

Wir haben mit den Kindern drei Wochen in dem HƤuschen verbracht. Es war alles da, was man brauchte. Im Garten war viel Platz zum Spielen fĆ¼r die Kinder und der Pool war auch super bei der WƤrme. Die Gastgeber haben sich sehr gut um uns gekĆ¼mmert und waren bei Fragen immer gerne bereit uns zu helfen. Wir hatten eine wirklich gute Zeit in dieser schƶnen Gegend.

Ideal fĆ¼r Ruhe und Einsamkeit
ZunƤchst mal war das Objekt etwas schwer zu finden, weil der Zufahrtsweg ohne Hinweisschild in den Wald fĆ¼hrt. Aber dann war die BegrĆ¼ĆŸung sehr herzlich. Terry ist wirklich ein Ć¼beraus liebenswerter und zuvorkommender Vermieter. Allerdings ist das Objekt eher fĆ¼r die wƤrmere Jahreszeit geeignet. Mitte Januar gibt es wenig Sonne und das Haus ist sehr klamm und modrig. Die Beheizung mittels Gasƶfen ist auch etwas umstƤndlich und schlecht zu regulieren. DafĆ¼r wird es im Sommer wohl angenehm kĆ¼hl sein. Durch die Lage fĆ¼r Ruhesuchende oder Familien mit Kindern Ć¼beraus geeignet.

Geheel tot rust gekomen
Heerlijke vakantiewoning in een heel rustig bos met heel veel privacy. Het was wel lastig te vinden maar je ziet dan ook op een plek waar je in de avond echt niets hoort alleen maar de uilen. Unieke ervaring als je uit de drukke stad komt. Ook in de omgeving is er veel te doen. Je moet dan altijd wel even rijden maar dan is het erg afwisselend. Je kunt naar prachtige bergdorpjes maar ook naar het strand en ook naar de drukte van kustdorpjes. Daarnaast ook nog een dag naar Barcelona gegaan. Dus wij hebben een heel afwisselende week gehad met vertier maar ook met veel rust en relaxheid. De vakantiewoning is vrij simpel en de faciliteiten zijn in orde. Verwacht daar niet teveel van, Gastheer en -vrouw zijn heel aardig. Zij wonen ook op het terrein maar geven ons volledige privacy. Meneer kwam iedere dag netjes het zwembad schoonmaken. Wij gaan hier zeker nog een keer terugkomen dus zeer aan te bevelen.
