"I stayed for two nights while on business. The hotel was recommended to me by a colleague living in the village. It was delightful, traditional and reminiscent of old-style architecture and service. Amazing community garden and steam railway station next door. We ate in the hotel and the food was delicious - compliments to the kitchen! It was no surprise to me that the restaurant was full on a Monday night. Early starts meant I left too early for breakfast service. I only wish I could have spent more time enjoying the hotel. Wholeheartedly I’d recommend The Boat."

"We had a great stay for 3 nights, the staff are excellent very friendly and know their stuff. The camaraderie in the bar with the Staff and other guests was lovely, all sharing their day. Wide selection of whiskies and spirits. The food was excellent, even if you decide not to stay, go there and eat. For us the best food in Grantown, along with freshly cooked breakfasts, the Venison Pie and mussels were beautiful. Thank you Mark and Lucy and all your staff,great stay, thank you. "
