Rafael, Fabio, Maria & another lady (sorry I don’t know her name) will turn a customer’s bad day to a good one in an instant. How can I forget Pavel (the chef). His efforts & food presentation is on another level. You are certainly going to have a fabulous day after eating his breakfasts. He invests his time to cook your meal personally for you once you arrive for breakfast and serves it hot & fresh, he doesn’t do cold buffet meals. I’m glad I met these guys, I don’t need to worry about thinking of a nice place to stay when I return to Havana. Alhabana is the easy & best choice. "

"Luis is an exceptionally helpful owner, arranging and explaining everything for us on our first visit to Cuba. He organised taxis and made a booking at a very popular restaurant (San Cristobel), and advised us where to buy high quality Churchill-sized cigars (the National Hotel). The Casa is decorated in a completely unique way with many many collected items. Breakfast was excellent and extensive, just make sure you're clear if you want Americano style coffee if that's your preference over expresso! We also ate dinner in one evening and it was delicious and well presented. Our room (number 3) was very comfortable and quiet. The location was a 10 minute walk from the old town and main tourist area in an area where most of the buildings are sadly in need of major repair. We walked a lot during the day and night without feeling the slightest bit unsafe. We unreservedly recommend Casa 1932."

"This is a beautiful property with enormous rooms and very good decoration. The bathrooms are huge and spotless, with nice touches. Best bathroom of our 2 week stay. There is both aircon and a good fan. The internal area offers a place to sit, as does the large formal dining/lounge room. Nice breakfast included. Javier and the team looked after us very well, and he speaks very good English, so can help you. You need to be aware of some street noise, mainly on a Friday/Saturday night. This comes from various bars and from some motorcycles. You won't hear it over the aircon/fan too much. Also, the power cuts make it difficult for everyone. Check the restuarant/bar has a generator - most do. The casa is located close to the beautiful square and a craft market, which fills with tourist buses each day and empties around 5.00 pm. But there is also local street life, with some bars that have music and a little port area nearby - at the bottom of the road where the craft market is. Power cuts were an inconveiniece, but the Palacio has a generator. Nice breakfast. If you like walking around (without too much hassle) then the Punta Gorda peninsular, just beyond the port, is a great place to walk 2-3 miles out and back. Good sunsets. One of the best things to do from there is visit the Niche waterfalls. Great experience. Javier can tell you about it, as we offered him and a friend a ride there on our way to Trinidad. Enjoy!"
