"Negatives: There was an overwhelming damp/off smell when we first entered the apartment which I later discovered came from the vacuum cleaner when I used it. The bathroom light and hot water tap didn't work and the duvet for the sofa bed had a yellow stain on it. The "free kids club" is a run down cabin in which you pay £1 per game of pool (don't expect chalk). There are no plug sockets beside the bedroom mirror/dressing table. The bar area was always empty. Positives: The area is fantastic....

The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that we had to haul our heavy luggage up and down a steep staircase. We knew in advance there wasn’t a lift. "I had to go to the Waverley Guest a house to collect the key. On arriving I was passed by an inebriated lady cursing and swearing and carrying a Perspex advert holder. As I climbed the stairs it whizzed passed my head and smashed on the stairs as she had thrown in in her rage. The chap at the desk acted like nothing had happened and gave me my key. I went to the ‘holiday apartments’ and found room 18 and it was a disgrace. It stank of cigarettes and sweat. The walls and bed clothes were shabby....

"So homely, easy to relax here and whatever the weather there is always plenty to do. Walks are easy to access from the door, dolphins up the road, castles, waterfalls, fossil beach on the Black Isle and always reading or games in the conservatory. Inverness itself is so convenient but you feel as if you’re fully in the countryside. Our second holiday here and hopefully not our last."

"The cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Slept like a baby in the fresh smelling bedding. Our host was friendly and helpful when directions were needed and local places to visit.
