I can’t say enough about the wonderful and gracious hosts. They greeted us upon arrival with Muna Tea and helped us find dinner. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We had no problem walking to the Plaza de Armas. They stored our luggage while we hiked the Inca Trail for 4 days. Just the sweetest and most accommodating family, you won’t regret staying with Casa Antade.
I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Atande. The staff was so caring and really wanted to ensure you had the best experience possible. When our flight was delayed Mary checked in on us and when we had to spend an extra night in Aguas Calientes she did not hesistate to move our reservation around to accommodate our needs. The hotel location is only a 10 minute walk from the plaza and even at night I felt very safe walking there. There are many many tourists also walking to and from. An Uber to the Plaza is only a couple minutes. If you’re looking for a family feel in a beautiful, spacious room then this is the place for you. I can’t recommend it enough!
Great experience, the hosts are out of the world nice and went out of the way to accommodate us. We had a minor mishap in Cusco that required hospitalization of one person in the party, and the hosts were very empathetic to the situation and allowed us in/out at odd hours.
Mary was an excellent host. The duplex was super comfy and had everything we needed. My family and I had a very nice time. I highly recommend casa Antade.
This hotel experience was a mixed bag. The property is very nice, although the area isn’t the greatest. Communication from the owner to her employees in charge is very poor. Breakfast availability was poor to non-existent. Amenities were lacking: one bath towel for 2 people and no bath soap. We were accommodated in a third/fourth floor apartment without heat and lots of stairs. On a positive note, the decor of the property is beautiful but hard to enjoy when you are shivering at all times.
We stayed at Illas because our original hotel was overbooked, however, in the end we were so happy to have stayed here! The staff is available 24 hours a day and they were all super friendly, attentive and helpful.
The hotel is located just 30 seconds off a main street in the lower part of town which made for an easy walk, they have a little corner with water, drink and snacks you can buy, general services such as taxis and laundry all easily arranged and everything can be paid by card.
Rooms are comfy, we had a gigantic bed and were given extra blankets and a heater. Hot water was always available and the room was sparkling clean.
Breakfast was absolutely great, with breads, fruits and cereals, for days when we had early trips a little snack bag was provided.
Overall a wonderful stay, we were super comfortable throughout our 6 night trip and happy to have ended up here!
Our stay here was a great experience. We had shifted from another hotel in Cusco and this was definitely a great stop. It’s definitely got a home stay sort of feel to it, and the hosts were super friendly. The English was very limited but their enthusiasm to communicate and the use of Google translate meant it all flowed smoothly. Would highly recommend JCs cafe a few minutes walk from here for any meal on your way to the plaza. We stayed a few nights in a family room with 2 teenage boys and it was a great experience. Only thing is it was a bit cold at night as no heating, however the beds are very warm so didn’t feel the need to ask for a heater. Also worth noting great shower pressure and hot water. Best we had in Cusco or during our tour around various sights with different accommodation. Mary (the main host) is super lovely and really wanted to look after us and make sure our experience was comfortable. It is a 10-15min walk to the main plaza but all downhill and a taxi to the hotel at any time never cost more than 8 Peruvian dollars. Overall a great stay especially to find a shared family room with enough beds :)
My wife and I stayed at Casa Antade for 3 nights and we loved every single day we were there. We let the hosts know what time we were going to arrive and they were waiting for us to check-in in the evening. They showed us our room and gave us our keys to enter our room and the hotel at any time.
We stayed on the second floor in the panoramic room. We absolutely loved how much space we had here. The bedroom was great with a spacious closet, HUGE tv, and a cute little balcony with windows covering every opening that overlooked the whole city of Cusco. The common area had plenty of seating, and the bathroom was nice and big as well with plenty of counter space. The wifi worked pretty good the closer you were to the common breakfast area of the hotel but not that well by our bed area.
The morning breakfast was great, and they let us take it to the room.
We asked if we could stay in the hotel until 7pm the day we were supposed to check-out, and the host kindly let us stay in our room until that time without any extra costs.
Although this hotel is a little bit further from the square, it is still within walking distance from the tourist area of Cusco. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to stay here for any length of stay as the room and hosts were AMAZING. We wish we had stayed here every night! Such a wonderful experience! Thank you Casa Antade for a great stay!
