"The hotel is set in an ancient dwelling built around a courtyard. While our room retained its original ancient nature, it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, on the other hand, was modern and there was no lacking hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful. "Such a lovely comfy hotel. Had the best stay here for a few days, the staff were so so lovely and helpful, writing things out in Chinese for us and being so helpful with any questions we had. The room is comfortable and clean and the courtyard is so beautiful. Just a 5 minute walk to the South Gate in the ancient city of Dali so the perfect location and all at such an amazing price! Highly recommend! "
