After staying the first night, we noticed a hole under the ac window unit that was just covered with the carpet. I noticed when I walked over there and almost fell. There was a catch pan under the ac unit, so assuming there was a recent leak which destroyed the floor. It is not a small damaged area either and led up to the wall with a hole under the wall. At that point, we didn’t have time to make a big deal about it and move rooms or hotels. We told the lady at front desk when checking out and were told that they would tell the manager and the manager would call me. I never received any call, just noticed later they only charged half. The room is a literal hazard and the manager couldn’t be bothered to reach out. Not to mention the first night staying in that room, I started having a horrible allergy reaction to what I assume is mold under that floor. However, the staff at the front desk were always nice.

The hotel was average. The desk staff was not welcoming or friendly on arrival. The key did not work for my door immediately, so I had to get it redone. The toilet wouldn’t flush correctly, so I had to call maintenance. It was not a good stay.

I liked the location of this hotel and it was pretty quiet. Unfortunately, the first night I arrived I saw a large cockroach right above my bed. I don't really fault the hotel, it is Texas after all and bugs are to be expected. The front desk clerk immediately had me switch rooms, however, I didn't sleep at all because we got moved to a room directly above the old room so I kept thinking the roaches would scatter after being sprayed. Probably not true but I could not get it out of my head. Then the next morning I woke up and the toilet wouldn't flush. Once again, they immediately went to fix the problem. The staff is great and attentive and I think try to do their best with an old hotel.
