" I found the property to be a very good choice for accommodation in Dar Es Salaam. It’s well situated, a short ride or an easy walk, to most points of interest in the business district and ferry port, for those looking to access Zanzibar via ferry. "This property is very scenic and staff is very helpful. A large area kept very clean and maintained. Pool is very well located and garden is nice. Breakfast is good with changing items daily. The property has two issues. The WiFi is not good in the rooms and is not reliable overall. The sound of room air conditioning in the room is on higher side. "

"This is a high end hotel. Good size room with all you need. All staff were extremely polite, to a degree when it became almost annoying: "Good morning, how are you, is there anything I can do for you?". Unclear when the currency exchange office was open. Rich breakfast with lots of choices, including hot courses."

"I booked ocean view suite but got city view so was a bit disappointed. And i was there while they hosted a number of VIPs so there was a lot of police, military and so on. And guests were being cautioned on not wearing very revealing clothes. I guess it wasnt the establishment's choice but yeah it was quite frustrating. The staff were amazing. Food, not so much"

"I wanted this place initially from the Expedia listing and the photos. Overall great place / we ended up back in the area and spent a couple nights here. Outdoor dining on the ocean/sea waterfront was great! Staff was excellent and we enjoyed the pool. The place needs some touch up / the rooms need an overhaul and it's obvious that the finishers in this place either didn't finish or the finish work failed in the rooms and other areas. Easily fixable. Would stay again."

"Great location, can walk anywhere and super close to the ferry terminal. They picked us up from the bus station which I really appreciated. They even walked us down to the ferry to get our tickets. All the staff were kind. The room was spacious and very clean thanks to Martha! The bed was comfy. Very fast wifi. The only minor issue is my spouse is 195cm and couldn’t fit on the treadmill as the gym roof was too low but he could use the spin bike. Lots of equipment in the gym! Highly recommend...

"The owners and employess work really hard to ensure you have a pleasant and enJOYable stay. You can have dinner at the hotel or directly across the street at their restaurant. I appreciated that they don't play loud music late into the night. The breakfast was really good: there's juice, hot food, cereals and baked goods. Dinner is a bit expensive, but that is to be expected at a hotel along the coast. BW does a decent job of keeping their area of the beach clean--folks have to do a better job...

"The location of TSA on the Msasani Peninsula is ideal for exploring Slipway, taking the ferry to Mongoyo Island, dive trips, Coco Beach, restaurants, shopping. All walkable during the day, and easy access by Poa at night. The apt was perfect. Had everything I needed. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is minimally equiped, but useful. Furnished with Tanzanian-made furniture, which is a nice touch. Authentic. Local. Safe. Very friendly and helpful front desk/concierge 24/7. I highly recommend this place! "

"Staying at the Golden Tulip was fantastic. Historic charm, delightful staff, delicious food. It is an old hotel that was much more grand in yesterday year. While aged, it could use a few upgrades (my bed was a bit lumpy) but all in all, charming and convenient and well worth the price."
