The listing on Stayz was unfortunately misleading, stating a travel time of 53min to Mt Hotham whereas the road is actually closed in winter so it's 3+ hours which scuttled our snowboarding plans. The driveway is a bit dicey - if you have a car with low clearance you might struggle....

"We arrived at a lovely warm house. Place was spacious and cozy. Sadly, we found that there had been mice in our beds and a number of the beds had been soiled with mouse excrement. A family of mice were present in the kitchen area and had left their mark in drawers, cupboards and a couch. Put a dampener on the stay and we were not able to have this issue resolved with clean bedding. Just an offer of some mouse bait to place around the property."

"Overall a wonderful stay in a beautiful location. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ski storage/drying room was much appreciated. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend was the onsite restaurant - tried it once for breakfast and found the portion sizes to be small for the high price. Dining options were somewhat limited in town for a place with “dinner” in its name but the food at the two local pubs was decent. Easy access to Hotham with shuttles running hourly. "
