Staff were friendly, but cleanliness of room was not good. Shower had mould growing in floor, some holes in walls of room. TV remote didn’t work. Bed, looked like they weren’t fresh sheets!

Great location, convenient, large room, good size ensuite with excellent water flow. Property is old, worn and tired, just what I like to save my $$$. Its as clean as you can get old fittings and furnishings. The bed linen was fresh and new. Great quiet aircon. 4th floor room at back was very quiet for CBD. New ownership of a few weeks have plans for upgrades. So get in while its still a great price. Walk to anywhere in CBD. If you're precious or want upmarket don't go here. My first time in Darwin but I've stayed in similar joints WW. I look for them for the good value and location.

The managers were amazing when I turned up and had booked for the previous night by mistake. They could not have been more helpful. The outside is older but our room is beautiful and clean and cool. The pool area also lovely and clean.

The staff at the front desk were excellent, however the room was far from it. The room had mould, a hole in the bottom of the door, the carpet was grubby. Luckily I got the room with 3 beds, because on two of them you could easily feel the springs of the mattress. I ended up on the small single which was only barely better. There were barely any power points with the only ones available needing to be shared if you wished to use the microwave or kettle. None were near the beds so it wasn't possible to charge a phone and use it as an alarm. But then there were no bedside tables to use anyway. Finally while there was an iron in the room there was no ironing board

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5day stay in Darwin at the Poinciana Inn We expected nothing more than what we got, a budget priced motel The location was excellent for us to explore Darwin on foot. If I have a negative, its that the bed was too hard for me However my partner thought it ok
