- Please note that it is necessary to take a ferry to Daufuskie Island and the cost of boat and ground transportation is around $75 per person roundtrip, with discounts available for children 5 and under. (Parking fees may apply.) Let us help you with these details.

Free bikes and paddle board available upon request.

The Friends retreat is perfectly situated oceanfront with beautiful sunrise views across the Atlantic. 2 Bedrooms both with private baths, private balcony and King Beds. This cottage is ideal for those craving respite from the hustle & bustle of the mainland. Enjoy the ocean just steps from your porch and dine in or alfresco while soaking up the ocean views and breezes. Relax and let the world slip away......

The interior of the cottage is open and spacious living/dining/kitchen area that is great for family and friend time. The cottage includes cable TV and flat screen TVs and DVD players in the living room and all bedrooms. WIFI is Free during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size stainless steel appliances, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a stocked Coffee/Tea Bar, making meal preparation easy for you and your family throughout your stay - even Holidays!

A laundry room with full size washer and dryer is also available to make island life more convenient and comfortable.

A golf cart is also included with your booking and additional golf carts are available at discounted rate. Information for reserving additional carts will be provided at booking GAS CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL JONBIE COTTAGES & VILLAS and Carts are NOT to be used for hauling luggage, groceries, coolers, etc.

Information on transportation to and from the island along with getting groceries and activities will be provided with your rental.

The house was wonderful and clean and spacious. Ocean view was lovely. We really enjoyed exploring the island on our golf cart. Not a complaint, but it was difficult finding food and places to eat on the island. There is only one general store and there really isn’t much to choose from. Just wished we had a little more information on that ahead of time.

Everything was awesone!! Very beautifully decorated and furnished. Anything you would want was there. Very spacious. Wide doors and furnished with all the necessities. Kitchen had every tool imagjnable. I am disabled...unable to walk without a rollator, but had no problems moving around the house. Shower was huge, so i did have to take my rollator in the shower so i could safely wash mh hair as there are no handicapped bars. Also, i nrought a commode riser which made the commode work for me. The beautiful sun glistening on the water was a gorgeous view out the back door. Golf cart was a very nice way to get around the island.

This property along with Daufuskie Island is a great location to decompress. This listing was perfect. Steps from the water, amenities to have fun outside, beautiful sunrises, great screened in porch to feel the warm breeze but being protected from direct sun and other elements. Very responsive hosts prior to arrival and with questions during stay. Highly recommend.

Property and location were fine. When all the add on charges were added, it became very expensive for 2 people, no animals for three nights. Arriving after 4 first night leaving before 10 third day. Plus breaker blew for golf cart so although it was reconnected, we had no idea how much charge it had. Will avoid using vrbo in future. My guess this will be cancelled.

Perfect Getaway from it all!
The view is everything, but this home delivers on every thing you could possibly want or need to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The cottage is well stocked with all of the amenities you would expect at home. Kurt and Tammy are wonderful hosts that are very resourceful and knowledgeable to guide you on your adventures. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Daufuskie Island was a great adventure. It was so unique and relaxing. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful! The home was super nice and very well stocked with starter items. Our stay was perfect. Our host met us and showed us the house and features. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. This was our first visit to the island and he had great information. Thee house was spotless and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. The island is quiet and all we heard was the ocean just a few yards away. We highly recommend!
