Large main level 450Sq ft Suite w/ microwave, (no stove), toaster, Keurig coffee maker, fridge, jacuzzi, flat screen TV, in a 4 season resort in the Canaan Valley. Close to Timberline for skiing, White Grass for cross country, & Canaan Valley Resort. Good access to hiking, biking, Dolly Sods, fly fishing, SUP waters, white water. Minutes to Davis & Thomas, w/ microbreweries, restaurants, antique & bric-a-brac shops, artists galleries, Purple Fiddle (live music), farm to store shops

Great location in the valley

A quaint one-room condo with a great view of the mountain, the fireplace and jacuzzi were our favorite amenities.

Perfect stay for the Fall

The rental was exactly as described but better. It had all the amenities plus some gorgeous views. The host was responsive and checked in with us each day to make sure everything was OK. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back!

Escape to the Mountains

Great condo in a wonderful location to take advantage of hiking and biking activities. Quiet and peaceful on the resort. Grounds are well maintained and make for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Perfect place for a quick getaway!

Stayed here for the weekend to ski Timberline. The views were great. It was quiet at night. The room is like a lodge room but with the benefits to do some very cooking plus the jetted tub and fireplace. Definitely hope to catch another opening this winter to stay another weekend.

Perfect little hideaway

Great little property away from it all but close to everything you need...convenient and cozy. Nice to come back to after a day sight seeing and hiking. Room just as pictured and described.

Weekend getaway

My wife and I got exactly what we needed with this property. Great location, accommodations, and feel. The only criticism I can give is the resort needs to get their pool in serviceable condition.

A piece of heaven.

We love staying at Black Bear Resorts. This is our fourth year staying there. Cameron is a great host and always great communicating. His rentals are so nice and perfect for us. Have everything we need for a comfortable stay. We really are pleased with our stay. We will be back next year.

Our room was clean and had all the comforts of home. Beds were comfortale and the fresh mountain air was just what we needed to clear our heads on a much needed stress reducing weekend getaway. Our experience with Cam and the Aussieman Rentals team was positive from beginning to end. Looking foward to our next getaway!

Convenient

Although it is a bit unconventional in design, everything worked. Water ran only about 5 min. Before it got hot. Beds were ok not great. We liked that it was in the middle of everything in proximity. Very good to work with.

Nice place!

Nice room, it was very well stocked with dishes, pans, coffee, baggies, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pods, shampoo and body wash! I feel the carpet though could be taken out and replaced with wood floor. One thing we were very disappointed in was that the pool was out of service and the reason we picked this place was because it had a pool.

Great location but loud

Our family stayed here over the long holiday weekend. We had a great time and the location was perfect for the snow activities. Management is responsive and the communication is great. We appreciated that they cleaned off our car from the snow and gave us more time to check out after the snow storm. The place overall was a good stay for our family and the things we wanted to do over the weekend. However, the unit is very loud. If you are looking for a quiet, restful vacation, this may not be the pace for you. The guests in the unit above us were so loud every night for hours. What sounded like dancing, or exercising started every night around 10pm and would go on for hours. It made sleeping very difficult. We let management know about it, but the late night banging and stomping continued. If you get unlucky like we did, you could end up with a restless vacation.

Reasonable ,adequate ,accommodations

The host for this place was second to none for any VRBO that I have stayed at. Responses were almost immediate. Consumables in the condo or plentiful, and he did a very good job about addressing any concern that came up. Even stop by with a gift certificate for dinner. The weather did not cooperate so I did leave early but it had nothing to do with the accommodations. I would stay at that resort again. As far as things to do in the area, you need to be a nature person. As the small town is just that a very small town. There's not a lot to do so when the weather didn't cooperate, my hiking trip kind of fell apart as it was raining all but one day of my stay. Stay. I did leave early. The resort is lovely and there are plenty of trails in the two state parks that are very close, and beautiful waterfalls as well to keep you busy out in nature. As long as the sun is shining. I also did the ski lift ride, at Canaan resort, the views were astronomical. .

First and foremost, the condo was clean and the beds were quite comfortable. I loved that it had a little balcony to enjoy my coffee in the morning and to view stars at night. It is in a beautiful setting and only 4 miles from Davis, where you can find places to eat. The location is ideal for visiting many natural areas and Blackwater State Park. It was very quiet the week we were there in early October too.

Nice place and good price

We would stay here again. The location was very nice and the view out out the back of the unit was pretty. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect getaway weekend

Amazing view and very convenient

Loved the property! Great communication with manager. Easy access to everything. Amazing view! Accommodating to early check in. Parking was very close to door. Balcony was lovely.
