Foxes Den is a brand new log cabin that is located just 25 minutes outside of Boone and Blowing Rock (just minutes from the Blue Ridge Pkwy) and is situated in a postcard like setting on 8 beautiful acres with a class A stocked trout stream that runs directly behind the cabin. The stream, Elk Creek, is rated as the second cleanest stream in all of NC. If you are looking for a streamside cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. There is abundant wildlife including trout, deer, turkey, fox, beavers, and birds.

Foxes Den cabin sleeps up to 6 with two bedrooms with king beds, a queen sleeper sofa, two full baths, and a full kitchen and includes all the utensils, linens, and towels necessary to make your stay comfortable. The cabin also has a large deck with a hot tub that overlooks the stream and picnic tables where you can have a unique dining experience or simply sit and relax to the sights and sounds of the stream. There is also a gas fireplace to create a warm and cozy atmosphere on those cool mountain evenings. This cabin offers privacy with easy access in a setting that is unique and picturesque.

Great vacation spot
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the cabin and it was well stocked with everything you need. It’s in a great Location with a trout stream right behind the cabin. There is another cabin nearby but you’re far enough away that you still have plenty of privacy. It was a perfect spot and we would definitely stay there again.

Everything was great about our stay at Foxes Den in Deep Gap. Kitchen is well stocked, Beds are comfortable, cabin was clean, and the location is great. Quiet and secluded. It was perfect for us and our two kids and two dogs.

Great Time!
We had a little trouble checking in (went to the wrong cabin initially), but once there and settled in, it was the perfect place for a quiet get away. We loved the cabin..very clean, neat, and organized and stocked with things to do/use. We enjoyed the river and the hot tub and the fire and just cooking and hanging out. We hope to go back! Lovely place!

Property was nice except for the infestation of Asian Beetles (looks like lady bug but different colour) they were everywhere. The WiFi was terrible also after 6 pm WiFi is non existent. It's a nice cabin and area.

Perfect getaway!
We were looking for something more outdoor oriented and this place was great! It was so peaceful and relaxing hanging out by the stream and enjoying the quietness. We really enjoyed hanging around the fire pit and fished the river during the day! Everything you needed away from home was furnished and the customer service was excellent! We will definitely be visiting again and appreciate the homeowners sharing their home with us!

Wonderful cabin!!
The cabin had everything you could possibly need. Tubes for the creek, skewers for s'mores, and rods for fishing. Great location - about 25 minutes from 421 and easy to get to. (A rarity for most cabins!) If you use the Waze app, it recognizes the address, which makes it easier to get to! We will absolutely be back!

Fantastic Cabin!
The property was beautiful, and my kids and dog had a great time playing in the creek. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was hot. Just what we needed to get away. Finding it was an adventure as we came in from the south, and I believe the directions are from 421 to the north. But a friendly local pointed us in the right direction and we were all set!

Great cabin!
Loved the cabin, but wasn’t as secluded as I thought it would be. There are other cabins on the same property. We loved the stream and that it wasn’t too far to a grocery store but wished there were more hiking trails. It would’ve been helpful if there was a booklet that gives ideas of close by activities. Having more comfortable seating options in and outside would be a plus as well! Overall totally worth the stay 😁

When can we come back?
This was our second trip this year to this particular cabin, and we had just as much fun this time. The cabin is very cozy, clean, and has many amenities. The creek in the backyard is our favorite part. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen makes cooking easy. The location is near the Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, and Boone. Our only wish is that the Internet was better, but that’s part of unwinding the mountains, right? Anxiously awaiting to return….

Relaxing creekside location
Although it rained all the days we were here, it was still a wonderful retreat. Located far down a mountain road and close enough to listen to the creek babble at night. The wifi isn't very strong, but that's also part of the charm. There is a landline phone for emergencies since cell service is also spotty. This is a great property and we plan on coming back again soon. I highly recommend it!

Short three day stay
Our stay was outstanding. The property is located right on Elk Creek. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. Everything looked practically new. We couldn’t think of a thing that wasn’t available. From kitchen needs (spices, appliances, cold beer glasses) to laundry (detergent, dryer sheets) to bathroom ( hair dryer, sewing kits, extra towels, first aid needs) the owners clearly anticipated guest needs. Outstanding place!!!
