Come enjoy this family owned and operated lakeside retreat for all the beautiful seasons that Southwest Michigan has to offer.

Beautiful Upper Crooked Lake is a 735-acre all-sports lake nestled in the quaint town of Delton, MI. Upper Crooked enjoys the lowest boat traffic of the four largest lakes in the Barry County area and is part of a chain of lakes surrounded by the Michigan State Nature Preserve (Lux Arbor). Wildlife is abundant with swans, geese, cranes, and loons present all summer long. This lake is also known for its great fishing including Large-mouth Bass, Pike, Yellow Perch, Sunfish, Bluegill, and Crappie.

We are looking for a small, trusted group of families and responsible adults to rent when we are not enjoying Crooked Lake Lookout ourselves.

OUTSIDE:
Relax in the shade of the large trees, soak up the sun by the water, swim, kayak, or fish right of the dock. Expansive deck leads to a sturdy staircase that takes you down to shallow water with sandy bottom is safe for young kids to play and swim. We have 5 kayaks (3 adult and 2 kids) available for your use including lifejackets of all sizes to spend time exploring the lake. Bring your boat or pontoon rentals are available. We have ample room to tie up at our brand-new dock. As the sun sets directly across the lake, grab the marshmallows and build life-time memories by a cozy campfire. Outdoor grill is also available for use during your stay.

INSIDE:
Enjoy comfortable décor in our newly renovated from top to bottom 2-bedroom one bath cottage. The spacious and airy living room offers plenty of space to play games, read, watch tv, nestle up for a good book or be mesmerized by lake views on three sides. The open concept fully equipped kitchen/dining room features new appliances, including a dishwasher, and the dining area features a large table for everyone to gather for meals together. At night, retire to a queen bed in one bedroom, and queen bed and full over full bunk beds in the other bedroom, accommodating six to eight guests. Feel at home with modern amenities such as central air conditioning, WI-FI, water softener, and washer/dryer for your laundry.

Delton is a friendly country town with a well-stocked grocery store, local coffee shop, bait shop, bars and pizza shop. Tom’s meat market in nearby Hastings is worth a drive. Local activities off the lake include;

Gull Lake Boat Launch - 10 mins
Gull Lake View Golf Course - 20 mins

Beautiful lake vacation!
Although we had some cool, windy, and rainy days we enjoyed the comfort of this well kept cottage. Once we were on the lake, we were in the kayaks several times a day exploring this pretty lake. Love the sandy beach! Kitchen was great with any cooking implements you might need. The communications were excellent! We had a question one day and got a response within minutes! Highly recommend!

What an amazing week we had at this beautiful cottage. It is exactly as stated and extremely clean. There was plenty of room for our entire family. If you are looking for a place to totally escape and disconnect look no further this is it! We even rented a pontoon for the week and we were able to hook up to their dock. The family enjoyed fishing, tubing and kayaking and the separate area for the bonfire is stunning!! The hosts were so very kind and easy to deal with. Would highly recommend this beautiful piece of paradise!!

We had a great time relaxing on the lake! We enjoyed renting a boat for a day, kayaking, playing in the sand, and swimming in the lake. The house was as described and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Check in and out was very easy and quick. Would recommend!

This was our 2nd time staying at the house and it was just as great as the first. House is cozy and clean inside, and outside has everything you could want in a lake house. We rented a boat and spent a lot of time on the lake dueing our stay. Overall very pleasant experience from start to finsh. Thank for sharing your home with us again.

Quiet and just wan at we needed
We stayed over Labour Day weekend and spent the days kayaking and played in the lake. Our kids loved playing on the lilly pad and enjoyed the cool water. We enjoyed the boat parade as well. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great little cottage on a surprisingly quiet and relaxing lake!
The property was perfectly represented in the description and pictures. So spacious for a lake cottage! My family enjoyed our time so much there! Great view. Clean/sandy shoreline by the dock that our 6yr played in “all” day. She was catching bluegill with the net by the handful and giggling over and over again. We had our teen boys stay in the back room and they enjoyed having their “own space” without being crammed. Great communication and hospitality by the owners too! Would rent again!

This cabin was an excellent place to enjoy a variety of water activities as well as being close to other places of interest like the Gilmore Car museum. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable and had a great deck with a lake view to relax on.

Crooked Lake Extravaganza!
Our family needed a week away to unplug, play and have fun! That is what this rental provided. The hosts were great. It was super clean and the view was amazing. The fireworks were awesome and the neighbors were very friendly. We hope to come back again next year. This was an great find.

Just amazing
I can't say enough good things about the property. It was exactly as described and a near perfect week. Amazing views of the lake, comfortable inside and out, and checkin/checkout was a breeze. Fishing was excellent, especially in the evenings. We rented a pontoon boat from vacation boat rentals, which drops off at the lake and was a great experience as well. Would not hesitate to book again.

Best stay away from home we've ever had!
I absolutely loved this house. My family of 6 had to visit Michigan for a memorial service. I visit Michigan annually as its where most of my family is. We usually rent a house for our stay, but this home blew every other trip out of the water! Almost literally 😉 being directly off the lake was amazing. We had so much fun swimming and kayaking. The house and deck were spacious and comfortable. I was able to stay in one placeto have family and friends visit with us. We cooked dinner on the deck each night, and watched movies after dark. I hope to stay here again and would highly recommend to any families hoping to make great memories on the lake! Thank you so much to the hosts!!!

Great lakefront cottage
6 men from 47-72 stayed four nights, played golf three times, visited Bell’s brew pub in Kalamazoo , and did a little fishing from the dock! The cottage was very comfortable with ALL the comforts of home! If we come back to this part of Michigan we will certainly try to stay here! Joe and Sarah were great hosts and very easy to contact!

My family and I have been renting lake houses for 35+ years. Of the 35+ houses we rented, this was in the top 3. Clean, comfortable, great mattresses on all the beds. Everything seemed new. Lots of toys for the lake. Stay here and you won’t regret it,just great all around.

Wonderful Week Away
My family and I enjoyed a fantastic week at this beautiful lake home. Owners are extremely nice and have thought of everything. House is renovated and it feels so nice, new, and clean. Mattresses, sheets, and bedding were very comfortable and seemed new as well. Loved that the kitchen had foil, cling wrap, and some grilling spices available. Our kids enjoyed the welcome basket of snacks too! We enjoyed the kayaks that they had for us to use and loved sitting down by the lake or on the deck enjoying the view. It has a great shallow area for kids to play in the water. Our boys favorite though was the giant foam raft to play on out in the lake. It gave us all hours of fun and is a perfect thing to have available for guests. Town is super small which gives the whole area a nice relaxed vibe. We had coffee in the coffee shop and had lunch at Ned's on Gull Lake. Cute restaurant with a good view. We had a fantastic time at the Gilmore Car Museum which is just minutes away. My crew are car enthusiasts but you wouldn't have to be to enjoy it. We had some success fishing and boating, and the lake was great. Thanks for such a welcoming place to call home for a week!

Beautiful Lake House
The property was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable with brand new mattresses. The view of the lake was great. We fished off the dock and took a boat out as well. We also floated on rafts and snorkled at the dock. We really enjoyed our stay. The parking was a little tight with a boat trailer and 2 vehicles.

Perfect Lake House
Our family of 6 really enjoyed Crooked Lake and all that it had to offer. So much so that we didn’t leave the property our entire stay! We didn’t know what to expect since it was our first time there but once we arrived and walked into the house we couldn’t stop smiling. It was the perfect place to for our busy and always on the go family. Sarah and Joes home is perfect! It was spacious, decorated tastefully and provided us with everything we needed to have a fun time on the lake. The peacefulness and serenity was exactly what we needed - a getaway from the city. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect RELAXING time for a family!
My husband and I and our three children (10, 8 and 4) stayed for a week. It was a perfect time! The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake, finding rocks, using the kayaks and the huge swim mat! The dock was perfect for all of us to sit on and fish the day away! We realized that we never did the things on our planned list to visit because we had an amazing time just staying at the property and we didn't want to leave. The Lake is clean and when the sun is out you can see pretty deep down. Another great thing is that even on the weekend, the lake was very quiet. I had no reservations about letting my kids kayak in front of the property on their own (with life vests of course). There were even times that we were the only people we could see on the lake. The neighbors were very friendly and nice. The town is only 8 minutes away, so if you forget something it is just a quick drive away. We ate at Tujax and it was fine dining in a "hole in the wall" spot. Another great point is that bigger cities are just a 20 minute drive away. The house was beautiful and clean. We had everything at the house that we needed. A wonderful gas stove, iron skillets and a grill. My husband is a cook so he was very excited to see these little surprises. All we needed was to bring our food, spices and condiments. The beds were great and comfy. My kids loved all being in nice larger sized beds with the bunk beds! The porch was a beautiful setting to sit on to have your coffee in the morning and to eat dinner at night time. Just make sure you bring the bug spray for night time. I can not say enough good things about this property. We are already trying to decide on a week next summer to book this property again. Cons: lots and lots and LOTS of steps! But this turns into a pro because you will be in better shape than when you arrived!

This house felt so welcoming and comfortable and it had everything we needed for a few days of fun on the lake. It was clean and the owners were responsive & kind. Our kids had so much to do, indoors when it rained as well as outdoors. It was perfect!
