Martin Ridge Ohio river view

Our guest house has 4 bed rooms. The master bed room has a California king bed the others have 2 queen size beds. There are two full beds for the smaller people with a fight to see who gets to sleep in the coveted Crows Nest. We can easily sleep 20. The kitchen in stocked with the usual pots, pans, dishes and the apliances linens provided. Outside patio has wood and a fire pit. Deck just out the patio doors in the kitchen has a grill with charcoal in the garage. This home was built by our son in 2002. it is one of 3 homes on our 200 acre farm. It sets at the very end of Martin Ridge in the center of the farm. The closest house is to the rear of the guest house 1/8 mile away. The only thing beyond this dead end road is the remaining part of the farm, a herd of beef cattle, a 6 mile river view, miles and miles of hills and hollows, starry nights ,moon and sun rises and sets, and lots of natures wild southern Indiana critters. The name of our farm is Peaceful Hills, come stay with us and you will come to appreciate the meaning....

Beautiful view, several open spaces for family time, large bedrooms, clean bathrooms, great water pressure and up to date appliances. Firepit with sidewalk entrance to home. Extra refrigerator/freezer in the attached garage.

We had a great time fishing and hiking the area. The locals were all friendly and you could watch the moon rise over the Ohio River from the backyard. The owner was very helpful and the property had everything we needed to have a relaxing trip. We will definitely be returning.

I highly recommend this property in Derby, Indiana, for a family getaway. The combination of stunning river views, the fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and the ability to fly kites make it an excellent choice. This was our third time vacationing here. We just love it. Once again, we had a wonderful stay. It was so relaxing and beautiful. The house is clean and welcoming. The pool is fun and enjoyable for everyone. The kids (and adults) really enjoyed the cows as well as the stunning views. Joann and her husband are amazing hosts and we appreciate all their help and answers to our questions about farm life. We highly recommend this beautiful property.

This was our families second time to stay at Martin Ridge. We love it here. Something for everyone, pool, fishing wonderful surroundings. The house was immaculate and it is equipped with everything you would have in your home. Joanne and her family are wonderful hosts. Met her grandsons and they are polite, respectful and wonderful boys. Already booked for next year!

The location and atmosphere couldn’t have been better. Seven men came together for our annual retreat. The space is beautiful and spiritual. We ate, drank, walked and sat by the fire. The view of the forest and river make this a unique and special place. We hope to come back again,

He had a lovely stay, we had beautiful views and ample space. We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to go to another property the owner had to see the eclipse, since this home was at 99% totality. Joann when above and beyond and we have already discussed coming back. We couldn't see house numbers on the home and it took us a minute to find the rental.

Very private and peaceful location. The views were much better than expected. The hostess stocked the kitchen with paper tableware and even plastic silverware. Unexpected but much appreciated. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean and spacious.

The rental was great. Plenty of space for our family reunion dinner. We enjoyed the Ohio river view, and we had one evening at the fire pit for a marshmallow roast. The pool was closed (seasonal). A few tried the fishing pond out, and some of us walked around the property. Check in was great and the host always responded quickly. Everyone loved it.

This is our 2nd time staying here. The first was exactly 2 years ago. We LOVE the home, the pool, pond and the owners & the location!! I will recommend this to everyone!! The little Derby general store and the gas station was perfect along with the family dinning bar/restaurant! We could ride our rangers everywhere and it’s only about 40 minutes to Holiday World which we did spend a day at. THANK YOU so much for allowing us to spend another week at your property!!
