The "Sentiero del Viandante" is an ancient mule track dating back to the Roman period that runs along the eastern coast of Lake Como.
At 100 meters from Villa Mari is the municipal swimming pool.

Dervio is located on the eastern shore of Lake Como, about 30 km north of Lecco, the provincial capital; it can be reached by car through the Provincial Road 72 which crosses the inhabited centers of the eastern coast of the lake in a panoramic way, or the quicker State Road 36 from Milan-Lecco (new exit of Dervio). The Dervio railway station is on the Milan-Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano line (80 km from Milan).
The peninsula of Derviese stretches in the waters of the Lario at an altitude of about 200 meters, but it is close to Mount Legnoncino (1714 m) and Legnone (2610 m), peak of the Orobic Alps which is the highest in the province of Lecco
Dervio for its characteristics is the capital of the territory, of very ancient origins has been an important and fortified village since Roman times, thanks to its strategic position on the road that linked the Valtellina to Milan. Its maximum development has had from the late 1800s to today with the economic growth that has led to tripling the population, in recent years the demographic development has stopped, but tourism is rapidly increasing, which is gradually becoming the leading sector of the economic development of the country. Thanks to its natural and artistic beauties and the recent infrastructural interventions, Dervio is destined to become one of the important places for the tourism of Lake Como and already is now considered the "sailing paradise", with its ideal position extended into the lake ventilated and the four sailing schools. The long lake of considerable extension, recently renovated, offers an elegant and natural landscape, where walking becomes relaxation and fun. But if you want to experience a strong historical suggestion and imagine the events of the lake during the Middle Ages, you must pay a visit to the village of Corenno Plinio, one of the most characteristic places of Lario. It is located on a rocky spur overlooking the lake dominated by the enclosure of the Counts Andreani, surrounded by ancient houses and the church of S. Thomas of Canterbury with the beautiful sepulchres, the square and the ancient cobbled streets and the stairs carved into the rock that descend to the lake.
For the summer of 2019 there will be many new features at Villa Mari.
A swimming pool and a relaxation pergola will be available for guests.
