West Des Moines

Great stay, apartment was clean and spacious, and a great location for the senior games venues. Clayton was a gracious host and communication was clear and concise. Definitely recommend.

Host canceled day of. Very unprofessional.

Showed up to the property about five thirty in the evening to the owner standing out front. He told me there was construction going on inside, the house wasn't ready and he had to cancel. He said he should have blocked out those dates. He apologized, but that didn't fix the predicament he put me in. Seemed like a nice place, but I wouldn't recommend anyone put their faith in this host. 0/10.Would NOT book again or recommend.I feel like VRBO should ban this host. Maybe I caught him at a bad time, but whocan say another renter wouldn't run into the same issue.And, to make matters worse, he listed the cancelation as a "rule violation", which tarnishes my rating on here. Not sure if that was a mistake or spite, but either way this cancelation was 0% my fault, 100% the unprofessional owner/host.Beware.

The location was absolutely perfect being on the very edge of Des Moines. It was quiet, no city distractions and very private. The space was very clean and Clayton was very friendly and personable. We definitely would stay again!
